There's a Tsubasa Chronicles artbook (#2) coming out in November. I read somewhere that there's possibly a xxxHolic artbook too. It's just speculation at this point though.

So many good books, and I have almost no storage space left. :( I can't wait for the Pandora Hearts one, and lots of the other books sound exciting too. Speaking of which I really need to take a photo of all the books I've gotten in the past month. >_>

I just found out there's a Natsume Yuujincho anime guide out. And it comes with a handkerchief, talk about random but awesome! XD

Did anybody happen to grab 亜方逸樹画集?
Nocchi Artworks comes out in October. Tsubasa artbook 2 is coming out in November :D I already preordered my copy.

Soo.. wait. Then Oyashiro Ayato and Nocchi aren't the same person?! My world is ruined. So is that category; gah.

All things considered though, Kita he (北へ。) already had an art book... I wonder if this is going to be a re-print with extra illustrations? Especially considering the preview images they've provided that were all in the last one ~_~

So... a list! I can see the last one was mostly August and late Septmeber, so here's the stuff in between and a little in the future ;D This time, I don't have most of what I'm recommending, so if something turns out to be bad, I just didn't know ;_;

Late September:

Akata Itsuki Illustrations Excellent Ponittu - Lot's of moe illustrations from MOEH publications :D I've scanned a bunch, they're in the Akata Itsuki section on AP and Pireze has done a review for it too.

Ultra Graphics 1999-2009 - This just came out. It's supposed to have all the covers from the JUMP magazines from the last 10 years. Those were done by really awesome artists like Oh Great, Range Murata, Miwa Shirow and so on. I read that some of the images are tiled, so they don't all get a full page but it should be an awesome collection because it's all cover art :D

Alterier Series Official Chronicle - It's huge (271 pages) but I don't know if it's all art. The preview images I've seen around do include a lot of art work and game art stills.

Yasuomi Umetsu's Visual Art Works BORDERLESS - I love all of this guy's work, so you'll just get a very biased recommendation from me :D Kotobukiya has sample pages up. Character designer for Kite Liberator, A Kite, Mezzo DSA, and stuff like that!


Tobimono Girls Noriyasu Yamauchi Illustrations - Art collection from the character designer of Najica, Aika, and Stratos 4

BAYONETTA Witch of Vigrid - It's portrait style game scenes, but I think it's probably still a nice collection considering the level of design for that game :D And weirdly, this book comes out before the video game is released o_o

Macross F Visual Collection - A surprising portrait collection of Sheryl Nome. Surprising in that it's only 1000 yen and there's a lot of nice pictures. I think *suemura has scanned a lot of them if you're looking for samples.

Japanese Sword Girls - It's like head phone girls, but with swords and slightly less famous artists. Should be interesting though, the cover is by Mebae and there's at least one illustration in there by Refeia :D

November Releases:

KAZUHIRO TAKAMURA ANIMATION WORKS - Anime Character designer for Strike Witches, This Ugly and Beautiful World, Mahoromatic, He is My Master and lots more.


Satoshi Urushihara Illustrations REI HADAKA - Originally slated for September, it's now releasing 11/30/2009. Dunno anything about the content, but it could definitely be H considering the artist.

There are lots more really, but... lazy...

Aargh, some nice books again... I think I will like the Borderless one. I think I need to check if I can purchase online, seeing so much stuff I want to have :D
