Lol, I agree that sometimes AP does make buying pointless. XD At least for magazines when all the good scans are already in the gallery it's kind of like "what's the point?".
I guess I will have to get Angel Text then! It will have to wait until closer to Christmas though. I have another order I've been dying to get, and with the economy dumping and the dollar value in the trash I really shouldn't be spending so much on books. XD Lol, I need to follow Saa-chan's example and wait to Christmas (although I know that won't happen, I'll cave >_> especially with that shiny new scanner winking at me from my floor).

Magazines are usually out of print by the time I get around to buying them. And some artbooks too. I really don't care for buying second hand.

Oh nice, it took another dump. This graph is one of the most depressing things I've seen lately. :( Come back August 15th when $1 = 110 yen! Even more depressing is it will probably continue to go down until after the election. After the election... who knows what will happen. =_=

I think I'll hold off on my amazon.jp purchases for a while. The only thing that hasn't shipped for me is the bleach calendar.

I just bought Ugetsu Hakua's Flamboyant artbook. Seeing the scans on the net does not do the book justice. I'm glad I bought it. There was also Ghost in the Shell artbook too, that I may get. But it has a lot of animation sequence drawings and maybe a dozen or so full page, full color artworks. This is from a local game store that sells manga's. They brought these in with me in mind ... nice of them to do so.

Thought I mentioned it earlier in this thread, but the Jigoku Shoujo book is entirely illustrations. Yes, there is a small interview in the back, but it's only a couple of pages. The rest are pictures from magazine spreads, DVD covers, and new illustration done for the cover. It's great to have all the gorgeous work for that series in one book finally :D
I've scanned that one, along with Angel Text recently, so I'll be submitting some scans from it either today or tomorrow. And let me say, the Angel Text art book looks way better in real life that in the scans, due to the kind of paper that was used. Really high quality printing though, since you can hardly see the dots when scanned and you can't see them at all with the naked eye :3
