What is the novel illustrations one? :o Is it like, a story type art book or from a series?

Also, Schiller has a deceptive cover. It looked like a more modern style, but the inside makes me think mid 90's. Still nice though.

Bungaku Shoujo no Galerie d’Art - it's a collection of illustrations from a novel series (?). I guess it could be a light novel or something too, like saiunkoku. It's not a story book like that other one I bought. I really like the soft colors. I think it has a story in the back... I can't really read much of it though XD I have 1 year of jp under my belt, lol.

Humm now that I've seen the inside of the Shiller book I think I'm going to hold off on buying it for awhile. Since it is fairly new I was expecting newer-styled pics, but as nat said it's got more of a 90s look going on. :(

The novel illustrations book is pretty! :D Usually when I get pulled in by a pretty cover it backfires in my face, but you lucked out! And oh my, I can't wait to order the Saiunkoku book. :D Yay for all the pretty pics!

My turn (finally)!

First pic: Nothing special other then the Loki book. It by far has the best artwork I've seen in the collection but I swear it is the thinnist of the group, which was a bit of a let down. I think the cover of the La Corda book is reflecting parts of my room, it doesn't have the weird texture in real life.



Second pic: Yeah, I caved and finally got the mini-Tactics book. Which although it is very tiny it has some really awesome artwork that I had never seen before. I'm such a Tactics fangirl I'm very very glad I've got it, but a normal person would be sad at the overlap it has with the normal sized (older) Tactics artbook. Also the Quin Rose book was a giant deception - it's not a gallery book at all, instead it's mostly character guides and screenies of the related games. If you want to see the inside let me know, I was too angry to take more photos of it. >.<

The big surprise was the Hakuouki ~Shinsengumi Kitan~ - Official Illustration Book. Somehow I didn't realize it was hardcover when I ordered it, although it's not as nice as one would expect a hardcover to be. There's a few pages of full page illustrations, but it's mostly character galleries which consists of lots of tiny screens of the game plus a (perfect for walling) character image. So nice but not necessarily worth the yen.

Aaargh! I'm insanely jealous! And I can't find it on Amazon either. Aaahh nuts ... it sucks to be me right now ...

It might show up again and I think I'll try locally and see if they can get it for me. Thanks for the teasers :)

Hmmm... out of the two Tactics books, which would you recommend based on the art work in it? Especially since there's overlap :3

Yeah, I feel deceived by the schiller cover >_< What's the one besides the tactics one?
I debinded (debound?) one copy of my pixiv girls collection... unsuccessfully I still have glue on 1/5 of the spine. I didn't wait long enough for the glue to melt X3

I'll scan some pages of that novel illustrations collection tomorrow (hopefully I'll have time). Work is picking up >_<;;

@ saa-chan - That's just one of my usual B's Log fanbooks. I find the fanbooks are hit or miss (mostly miss) and this one is probably more of a miss as I'd seen most of the artwork before and the character screenshots were even more unusable for graphic making then usual. That particular one is from the video game Hoshizora no Comic Garden.

@ nat - Well the only other artbook (that's not a anime guide) that I'm aware of is this one that has been around forever and it's easy to find scans of all the pages. The compact illustration book I just got is about 1/3 the size of the older book, and I think about 1/2 the artwork is overlap. I'll try to scan in all the new artwork tonight or soon-ish. It was only $12 but it's so small all the images would have to be totally re-done to use on walls, and there's enough overlap that for people who aren't serious fans (like me) I'd recommend the older book if you were only going to buy one.

If I see that right you bought Volume 2 of the You Shiina Artbooks (the second from right in the bottom row). I was thinking about buying it since some time. Is is worth the money? How many pages has it? Mostly colored pics?

I'm totally jealous about the Tony Taka's Shining World Artbook. Looks like a wonderful book with lots of illustrations. I hope there is also a bigger and more complete version of my Blanc Neige scan (you know you deleted my Elwing scan but your pic is so much better). Hope to see it. Think about buying that book. Looks absolutly worth the money.

The You Shiina volume two had beautiful art work as usual, but I felt they were trying to fill it up. There was a surprising amount of black and white, and it wasn't just in the back of the book, it was interspersed through out. For instance, you'd have several pages of color, and then randomly, one illustration on a color page would be black and white and then the next couple of pages would be black and white. And I don't mind monochrome art work, but the images were present really small and tiled. But it doesn't detract from the other stuff. There were a large amount of two page spreads in the collection, and the last few pages had tiled images. For the most part, until the end and excluding the black and white image, the art work was presented on a full page.

My book came and it is so wonderful I was moved. XD I'll post photos later. Basically what they did was collect all the good artwork/charater pics from several B's Log Game guides and put it in one book. Definately a good idea on their part, except now I'm never going to buy another B's Log game guide and hope for more books like this. XD

Nope, just the Kamina x Simon book. Amazon's been sending me the books as they release recently, when I order something as a pre-order. Next up is TTGL Illustrations on Monday, all by itself.

Which book had a B's Log collection from different games? :o There was a book released like that by HOOK SOFT recently, but those are all games geared at guys.
