Yeah havin war is much more complicated:
conqouring: You conquor by defeating a enemy that is at the borders of your (conquord) land, when you win you take that country/land also. This way you stretch around the map more and more.
But what if you loose? does then the enemy you attacked get your land, ore does nothing happen (like risk) and odes the enemy need to take your land in there turn...
attacking: To conquor you will need to attack, but how many attacks may you launch at once? ore is it just 1 attack a day/week/ a time, and will it all be turned base ore just real time strategy? like that orange may be attacked by blue while orange itself is attackin red. That would then mean that orange has 2 battles at once, will that be allowed ore whut.. cous then for example orange would be in a disadvantage position, aahwhell not that that is bad its just a bit f*ck*d
Alliances: Forming alliances and peace contracts is normal to a war but would not that mean that it will take the fire a bit out of this war? cous in the end ya might get stuck with 2 groups. i think as soon as a alliance will be formed, that there should open a new spot for a new army+general to do a shot at word domination.
Side shifting is something that is a bit hesatatious to do i think, before ya know it everyone will join the winning party and stuff. I think it should not be allowed
Defeated: Can a army be fully defeated? in this case with a mapsystem: having no land left to rule and not being on the map anymore.. I think every country should have a HeadQuarters spot on when they have no land left can retreat in. And when they are in the HQ that they are only allowed to attack a enemy once per week as a attempted to get out of the defeation position. and that after for example 5 weeks/5 attempts and they still not have reconcourd land that they then are eliminated and lost the war.
Voting: The not battleing armys will have to vote on the ongoing battle. Dont you all think this might result in strange awkward votes.. like that there will be more a tactical wager on who is going to win instead of voting on the best wallpapers produced. I mean the alliances might also be involved it. if the allied countries all go vote for there ally then there is no chanche for the enemy to win. The winning and loosing is just a matter of voting soldiers that have interest in a (allied) side to win...

Make something so that we can use tactic/strategy. Maybe peg system like in Yakitate Japan board battle? And it will be great to see some member of one army to rebel and create their own nation by recruiting other member and defeat a region for hq.
As for HQ, how about there will be some requirements for an HQ, like...build an HQ costs 50.000 papers (collective) while these HQs may or maynot be attacked directly and served as return point. It will be fun also to have war costs like 10.000 papers when a team wants to do a battle. The winner takes all system? The war spoil may be distributed to the army...

That's definitely true...we should avoid changing the rules, or orientation too much.
