As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Episode 116 was pretty good I really like the spanish guitar and Grimmjaw's voice was awesome too. I liked the whole episode and really can't wait for the next one ^_~

I agree with AnimeFanChris, I thought the animation of Rukia's shikai was beautfully done. A great episode, I particularly enjoyed how it was done when Keigo sees Ikkaku in his shinigami form, I thought the his emotions and everything in his voice was priceless. ^^

Excellent episode, I wait quite a long time for finally seeing rukia kicking someone´s ass.
The arrancars will endure some pain in the next episode :) (Except from grimmjow, I think)

this ep bloody rocked the world on fire, Ikakku's bankai, the arrancar first introduction to their released state, I think they did a good job on them both.

Yep it was really awesome the most impressive was Ikakku's bankai like you said that was a huge highlight and I loved everything in this episode and the shinigami golden XD. It looks like we're having a filler about Zaraki's past in the next episode though.

An Action packed episode for sure.
The idea of carving a dragon gauge in one of madarame´s axes was awesome, Kubo Tite really suprise me with this.

This was one helluva episode! Ikkaku is one awesome, crazy ass freak with an even wicked bankai.
That dragon carving was really sweet. I simply cannot wait for next week's episode!
