I am actually not that fond of his uber-romantic directing style and I think we should head in the direction the project leads us to. Let's be unique ;-)
When I suggested creating a trailer/preview, my initial thought was something like what was done in Outlaw Star, and many others, which gives some background info about the 'world', etc. before each episode.
A basic 15-30 second teaser to promote the project would definitely be good.
(There were mini-previews for 'She and her cat' ...)
