Hey guys, I dont think anyone is activly participating anymore and thats fine, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still 100% willing to push forward with this animation, or with a diff. one. I have some animation tests ive been working with, and getting techniques to quickly build backgrounds.
Im thinking for productivity, maybe more slick vectorish look with some texture work added to closer objects+ hand drawn details opposed to hand painting them all.

An great reason I liked this step is because its more efficent I believe, fairly easy, lines, lighting, basic textures and Perspective! can be added before bringing it into photoshop.
Got a great site for sound :) http://www.beatsuite.com/sounds/bsengine/search.php?search=space it costs money, but if some sounds on there are worth it then id buy.
I really hope this animation project kicks back in because i know the talent is out there. Just a few months of steady workflow, with what we already have and we can get going :)

I was debating whether or not to make this into a personal project...
If we can get organized and get a good workflow going (perhaps a few more members..) we can surely complete the animation.

I've also redesigned the logo. Will get that uploaded soon..

except, why is there stars in the planet? looks kinda goofy to me.
Ill try to have some work done. we need some animation storyboards, i have a pretty good stylesheet similar to shinkai's animation storyboards. set up

I wanted to give you guys this great site for a lot of high quality images to use as refrence. really helps me alot at least. Flickr search engine
Got some done tonight :) didnt take long and i think they look pretty okay, maybe i need to work on my quick character sketches lol but they are open for revision. I created them soley off of an older version of the screenplay you posted, and the current colored storyboard you posted.

~ The numbers on the right side indicate level of detail (ex."6" would be an average amount".
~ Also, i am keeping in mind that diffrent views of scenes will depend if it is going to be hand drawn or cut out vector animation.
