Personally I think Elfen Lied is one of the best anime there is.

I love elfen lied. i recommend it to anyone out there who hasn't seen it yet.

I did not like it very much. Well if you take nudity and violence out of it it would be average. I think most people fallen for it because of what I said earlier.

And the ending... There was no ending :). I hope that in future there will be continuation ^^.

yeah i agree, i thought the anime was pretty good but most animes focus on big breasts and nudity. please feel free to disagree but provide some examples.

I won't give examples but I am telling you that is not the reason I like Elfen Lied.
If I wanted that I would have watched Ikkitousen or something.

no i did not mean it that way. Elfen Lied had great action and a pretty good plot but no ending besides i thought it was a little depressing. i am very emotional, at the end of FMA i cried so much. yeah i admit it ...

Mmm I like Elfen Lied, its funny, but at the same time its dramatic, plus, all that blood hehe, i like to see that, AND i think the best thing of the series is the opening theme...its just nice!

I have also seen FMA. It was my fourth seen anime.
But to me , it didn't seem as sad as Elfen in the end.
But anyway...Opinions are not facts. :)

The idea of the ending of Elfen Lied imo is to force you to think for yourself to imagine what might/could of happened and also to imprint it in your brain because which are you gonna remember in 2 years? an anime which had a definitive ending or one in which was left open?

Of course if you demand the answers that much go read the manga which continues where the anime stops

I really loved Elfen Lied.
A friend of mine just told me to me to watch it, and when I started watching it, I had no idea of what it was. The first thing I thought was "What the hell is that ?!".
Seeing a young lady walking serenely, singing "lilium", I understood this wasn't an ordinary anime. But since the beginning, you can understand the despair and grief of the main caracter.
Moreover, the scenario is good as well. It is an anime of science fiction in which you are not bored, and you always want to know what will happen next. There are also some flashbacks that come, explaining everyones hidden past. You see each caracter's discomfort. Some are violent due to jealousy, others because of the people they love…
Elfen Lied is not just an anime with blood everywhere and heads flying. The feelings of the caracters are expressed in a very good way. That is why I like it. However, I know some people can't stand the fact that there is so much blood.
Although there is very much blood, feelings are expressed in a very good way. I think it is this contrast I liked the most in this anime.
Musics are very good as well. I think they are really suitable for the anime.
It is true that the end can be quite frustrating, but I personnaly found it very good. The spectator can imagine so much things. Well… many people don't like it, but that's what I like.

Well, I guess you now have understood that Elfen Lied is my favourite anime ever, and the only one who ever made me cry. That's why I would be very happy if someone who didn't like this anime could react to what I wrote.

The first episode was horrible... Nude girls pull of legs and arms very violency... Not my type of anime xD But I've heard somewhere that I should continue watching it, so I thought like 'why not'. There must be a reason to continue such a weird anime...
And then I loved it!! The contrast between pure cutness and cold-blooded murder, It went togheter very well in a very stange way. I'd like to recommend to wach this, It's highly unusual. One thing to see before you die... And the ending theme is really awsome xD

Ok first off i just joined up cause im watching elfen lied and loving it
its got allot of nice action scenes and the characters are all fairly interesting also nyuu mayu and nana are all very cute and thats not something i say often also lucy is totally bad ass

I think Elfen Lied is pretty much the best anime ive seen so far.
It has a good story and characters. It was just a bit gory. But goryness is fine with me~ XD

Yeah i pretty much feel the same way as ~Titou about this anime, and i would like it just as much if it didn't have the nudity in it as well.
