Well I thought it was great. I was a little disappointed by the battle system and graphics at first -_- but once I got into it I really liked it. The story is all about the Angyl (or "Angel") race and the problems they go through. You fight with your own attacks and Espars that you summon at summoning gates.
But of course if you know me: I am a sucker for wings. And the story kind of reminded me of KH for some reason. :\ So OF COURSE I thought it was awesome! ^_~ (KH likeness + winged people = Awesome)

It is kind of short ^^; but sometimes it felt long, probably because some of the missions were a little hard so I went and leveled up a bunch of times. I still can't beat the last boss guy though, u_u *sigh* And the last Esper is hard to get, his minions are at level 92 or something. They defeat me almost instantly.

FF has a lack of the ussual romantic element that the others ff have, which is a shame (not so much cause I don't like neither Vaan nor Basch, and Balthier definitely wouldn't be Ashe's partner) and I hate Penelo.

All right I'll give my point of view of he characters as well :]
Vaan - He's kinda annoying >.> but I guess he's an ok character.
Basch - The muscle, I like this guy, he's very determined and always keeps his cool, not to mention that he's cool himself! ^^
Balthier - Balthier is kinda cool too, the way he talks annoys me sometimes >_< but he's a cool character, a sky pirate :]
Ashe - The sexy lady of the game
she's beautiful, I love her voice, I love her smile, I love her eyes, I love her face I think that's enough xPPenelo - Like I said earlier, to me she's just so adorable and kawaii
I like her energetic mood and she's very pretty as well ^__^Fran - ... This woman ... I don't know why, but she sends chills up my spine
Must be her height, gosh this woman is so tall, well all the viera are Dx and I personally don't like tall girls, I don't know if you agree with me iro

Ok, this is cool.
Vaan: annoying and a little too feminine sometimes but it compensates with his statics which are the best. I like his pants but I find really annoying his little jacket
Basch: Boring. I like him a lot more with short hair.
Balthier: Very cool. I love the way he talks, his clothes his hair and the gun... sucks, the idea of his weapon being a gun is fine but the gun itself was very week.
Ashe: Do I need to say something? I'll just add to what tyson said: Her hair and her skirt and her boots and her lips and how cool she looks with weapons and her attitude and her kindness... I could be here all day.
Penelo: i hate her hair and her clothes and... oh, yeah, who the hell is she? I mean what does she have to do with the main story, it's like they saw her over there and cause it was Vaan's friend (who I also don't know why he's there) they told her: Hey, would you like to come with us and take down the empire?
Fran: I think Vieras are cool but nothing more. I'm not a big fan of her outfit but I like the ears and the hair and their noses. And yes, her height is freaky.
I'll add that Larsa was very cool and the Marquis (Ashe's uncle) has a very cool voice and I like Rassler too and Reddas. And I think Reks was gay. Oh, and I hate Vossler.

I hated Larsa's formality, Marquis should stay dead Rassler was cool though he lasted nothing, Reddas was kinda cool too, shame he dies, Reks was kinda gay and Vossler was awesome! shame he had to die as well -.- Oh and Gabranth was pretty cool too.

Cool ^^ is my turn to say stuff about the FF12 characters now?
Vaan: I don't really know what to say about him, I don't like his voice that much . . . he reminds me of a Finnish person. (don't ask -_-) I don't really have a problem with him, he seems like any other FF character I encounter, not anything special
Basch: hahah XD wtf! lol he reminds me of my dad a little, that's why it's just so funny ;P
Balthier: He is really swave and mysterious in ways. >_> He has a 'cool' atmoshpere around him but at times he can really get on my nerves. >_>
Ashe: She the headstrong chick of the game. Go Ashe! ^o^ You put those men in their place. ^_~
Penelo: I really don't know what to say about her. o_o She's very nice, calm, caring, compationate. And I always wondered why see has little feathers in her hair. o_o
