So I'm thinking this place needs revitalization. We've been waiting for the launch of the latest AP version to make changes. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this time the group controls will work. If they don't- well I don't want to think about it. This place is a disorganized mess. Anyways, I was hoping to unlock the group soon and reopen it to new members. Before I do that I want to make sure all of our current members are up to date on their claims, banners and whatnot. So please take a moment to check the claim list and make sure your claim is current, the banner is current and what not. If it isn't, please PM me. Sometime in the near future I hope to start clearing out members who haven't been to AP in quite some time or have been banned. In those cases I shall release their claims. I'll make a post about it when I've finished.

Second, I'd like to open this thread for discussions of what you'd like to see happen with FF in the future. There seemed to be quite a bit of intrest once upon a time in the banner competitions. It has been a long time since we've changed the banners (mostly because the admins -myself included- gave up on this disorganized place). Unfortuantely, try as I might I am horrible at setting up the banner rotations. Edge tried repeatedly to help me understand it and I failed. So, if we decide to do those again, I shall need help setting it up. Someone with such skills would deserve group moderator status at least, if not admin status.

Our wallpaper competitions never seemed to get off the ground much. I think everyone is afraid Omnidevil will shame them. I think it is true, he probably would. But, if interested let us know.

That's it I think. It is nice to see a lot of FF members are still around keeping the old girl breathing. Don't think your efforts go unnoticed. :)

Hm first of all keep a rule that persons who dont be active on Ap and yet claim a girl will be not authorized to claim.And even if they did and then they go un-active for about 2 months or so.Their claim will be taken away from them and be made free for others to claim.

That is a good idea. Unfortunately, we have no way of removing old member's banners- but officially a 'snatched' claim will only be approved and stated as official on our list. I guess the best you could do is make a sexier banner than the previous owner. :D

I'd like for us to consider a new claim logo too. I of course have no skills in this department.

By banners I actually meant signatures. Sorry- been a long tiring week. These banners are nice, they're getting kinda old though.

As for the inactive user claims. I'd like to recommend photobucket. Yes it has its problems but you can destroy the link to the claimed banner that way (unless that person re-uploads >_>). Nothing you can do about the current ones though. Oh wait! You can put a year date on the claimed stamp!

Image hosting won't solve the problem of rejecting signatures for inactive members as the user in question can always save the signature image and upload it themselves to their account.

The "sexier" signature, or at least a different signature, idea that Lenas brought up I think is a good idea. Contrasting signatures will not only show the movement of the claimed girl among members but provide a unique image for the claimer(s).

Adding the user's initials or name to the stamp on each claim signature will add a small measure of security against members who've lost their claim trying to use the signature. However, that is more for just protecting the official listing and claims. Anyone wanting to just have that claim in their banner without making it official wouldn't exactly care. I'm sure that wouldn't be much of a problem since if they were inactive in the first place to lose their claim, they wouldn't be active enough to show it off.

In addition to the previous, I'd suggest going with a "SNATCHED" stamp like our "CLAIMED" stamp. The "SNATCHED" stamp would be the first and foremost indication that the claimed girl was re-claimed by another member. As well, it'll add that "sweet" taste of finally getting your hands on a girl that someone else managed to get before you. The snatched stamping would only be used when inactive members lose their claim and the girl in question is claimed by another member.

A while back...rather, a long while back, the question of possibly getting multiple claims to reward member activity was brought up. I'd like to resurrect that back on the floor once we take care of everything else of importance first.

The reason I bring that up is that only a fraction of members are active in the group, and possibly on AP. That would leave a bulk of all the claims now up for grabs and most, if not all, have an eye on another claim in addition to the current.

The only people I'd be taking claims from are those who have obviously not been on Anime Paper for some months. I shall do this by looking at each user page and finding out the last time the user had been online. If said person is set to invisible, I shall stalk their wallpaper and forum posts. If those prove to have been deserted as well, I shall PM the user and give them a respectful amount of time to reply. After which point, I shall decide they haven't been on AP or care about AP enough to visit frequently, therefore are not active, participating members of Frenzy Fanboys. I would not feel bad at all for extracting their claim.

We had the required size for all of them as well as the logos. But as the group grew, we allowed whoever wanted to make their own do so and people decided to move outside those boundries and things got out of hand. It is a little difficult to require people to keep a certain size; all we can do is request.

Mcz928- I love the snatched idea. Know anyone who might be willing to work on a transparent logo? I'd suggest making it as much like the current one as possible or changing our current logo all together. This way the logo still looks the same and is easily associated with FF, yet the only thing different in the two would be the words 'claimed' and 'snatched'.

I also don't mind the idea of two claims, however I know the admins don't like clutter in the sig area, so I'd suggest creating a banner than contains both of your ladies. Might I also suggest that in addition to a double claim, frequent participants of FF also recieve moderator status. It only seems rational that the people who frequent the place help keep it clean. What do you think Brad?

Oh, one more idea I had was to make new temporary signatures that announce that FF is reopening soon. Never too early to start recruiting, don't you think? :)

That's a good idea. The only other problem is if a member with a snatched banner becomes inactive and then it'd be snatched again, thus resulting in two snatched banners of the same girl o_o.
