I have already worked my way through the first third of our member list. Over 20 claims are in jeopardy and will be released if their owners don't reply to my PMs. Some of the names on the list are what I'd consider 'big claims' or well known ladies from well known series. Amazing how many people have dropped off the face of the site.

Day2Dream, as I said.. I don't know how we'd 'make' people do what we want. All we can do is suggest that they follow the guidelines.

The only people I'd be taking claims from are those who have obviously not been on Anime Paper for some months. I shall do this by looking at each user page and finding out the last time the user had been online. If said person is set to invisible, I shall stalk their wallpaper and forum posts. If those prove to have been deserted as well, I shall PM the user and give them a respectful amount of time to reply. After which point, I shall decide they haven't been on AP or care about AP enough to visit frequently, therefore are not active, participating members of Frenzy Fanboys. I would not feel bad at all for extracting their claim.

Not only this but also remove them from the FF member list as all they are doing is making the member list look big and all.And we dont need anything big.All we need is a simple and clean list of people who are actually gonna be active on the group.My opinion that is.
Also i see some claim siggies missing i think..Might wanna ask their owners to make one or make them one.

I see you guys are hard at work on reorganizing this group. Perhaps it would be wise to come up with a set of rules that would somehow ensure member participation, something like a time frame wherein they are needed to participate in group activities, and if they fail to do so, their ladies are going to be eligible for snatching within a span of time.

Also, an authentication of the banners is needed, like during a certain period of time, the admins/mods of this group will make a thread authenticating a person's claim, and making them 'valid claim as of date' etc. and will be required to be renewed periodically, like a driver's license.. These are just some of my ideas, perhaps I'll come up with more later on.

Its a good idea but i barely think that the participation is a good thing.Its because some people are active on Animepaper but they dont visit FF very frequently,maybe not at all after claiming their girl.
The only rule we can make is that if you are in-active on Animepaper for more than a month.A PM will be sent to that person and if he does not repond within a certain period of time his claim will be taken away ^_^.And also another rule for snatching others siggies

Hey, that's a good idea. At least that would ensure control on whose claims are valid. But aren't groups supposed to be all about participation? It would be pointless to have members that don't even do anything in the group, just having their claim then buggering off to wherever.. This is why I stress emphasis on group participation. Besides, if people are more active in the group, it is more likey that this group will remain popular, thus ensuring that this group will not die out, like the other groups I've seen.

I know but thats what i am saying.If you put something like a contest or so people dont come to the group much..Hmm you gotta have a Discussion Topic so that people may atleast come to it and share their ideas or whatever

I also don't mind the idea of two claims, however I know the admins don't like clutter in the sig area, so I'd suggest creating a banner than contains both of your ladies. Might I also suggest that in addition to a double claim, frequent participants of FF also recieve moderator status. It only seems rational that the people who frequent the place help keep it clean. What do you think Brad?

Yeah i think that is fair enough. People who help to make this place what it is should maybe offered the moderation status. But we cannot go over the top with making people moderators though. I think moderators should only be kept to a certain number of people. Maybe 5 of the most frequent posters (not including Fire, Shaggy and Spirit.) should receive it. What do you think?

Oh, one more idea I had was to make new temporary signatures that announce that FF is reopening soon. Never too early to start recruiting, don't you think? :)

We actually have a banner restriction- or we did before things got out of hand. Originally ed9e, Spirit and I were the only ones making banners. We had the required size for all of them as well as the logos. But as the group grew, we allowed whoever wanted to make their own do so and people decided to move outside those boundries and things got out of hand. It is a little difficult to require people to keep a certain size; all we can do is request.

You forgot me LL, i was making them too. XD Originally the size requirements were 300x75 as in the original rules but i think ed9e changed it and allowed a slightly bigger size. I'll find out though.

Believe me- when we reopen, shit will hit the fan and we'll be overloaded with trying to churn out the signatures, let alone trying to recreate every single claim and move them all to photobucket. I am thankful for not having to recreate the 170+ we currently have without having to make new ones or move them. It has been enough to track down every single member.

Also, we have no control over people. We can't make anyone do anything. They have the power through AP to upload whatever the heck they want to. We could suggest that they allow us to only upload their sig at photobucket, but that doesn't keep a stubborn ass from doing whatever they want to. Having said all of that, I think your idea is a great one- I just don't see how we'd make it work.

Update on current mods: I've spoken to Spirit and he's just too busy to work on the group at the moment. He is however an active AP member and will join in when he can. Because he was this group's co-creator, I've moved him to mod. Brad has been trying to contact ed9e, and I haven't seen Fire in months. Shaggy is an active member still but I haven't spoken to him yet.

And indeed.I am not telling you to make 170+ sigs again.All i am telling is that you transfer them to the photobucket account and send the people who are active on Ap the code and ask them nicely to chnge their imge link to the photobucket link.Also how to get this into working.There is a thing.We can make a photobucket account and give out the password of the account to all the members and who will join.Also once a person claims we will ask him to upload his siggie to the photobucket before his claim is legal and confirmed.If the sig is not from photobucket the claim will not be legal and shall not be added in the Claim List.

The Photobucket plan was my idea .

And no moto. Do NOT give out the passwords to ALL members. People will abuse it and start deleting other peoples sigs just for fun. Only the admins and mods should have control over it as well as supply the sigs.

I suggest you make multiple accounts as there is a limit to how much you can upload before you reach the bandwidth limit.
