This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Solely in the light novels, and hoping that Kyoto decides to include this in the second (or possibly third season if the ball keeps rolling in all goodness) of the anime, the appearance of Sasaki and a trio of dedicated followers similiar to that of Haruhi's posse has caused a stir of trouble.

Sasaki, an aquintance of Kyon back in middle school, is similiar to Haruhi in many facets. Speculative, pretty, and eccentric in their own fashions, the group following her, which is fully stocked with a cute Esper girl named Kyouko; an equally silent humanoid interface named Kuyou; and that time traveler bastard who has it in for Mikuru, his name need not matter..., believes that Sasaki is actually the force behind the universe, not Haruhi, and seek to somehow transfer their powers to make things right.

Could it be possible? In terms of mannerisms, Sasaki is less spastic than Haruhi, yet both show particular interest in Kyon. Could it be that he is actually the center to all this instead of the girls? How would this rivalry between the lovely ladies end?

Vol 10 was postponed in Japan so as of now the ending is on a hiatus for the moment.
