Well, it seems that my last kick under Panda's ass finally worked, so I'm happy to be here as first member at last =P.
About me and Initial D, I started off seeing the movie and 3rd stage, I'm currently watching 1st stage again. The reason why I like Initial D so much is because it contributed to a complete culture (drifting and downhill racing). Furthermore, Initial D is made with lots of respect for the cars, what you can see from the high level of details and realistic races.
By the way, Initial D is totally unknown here in The Netherlands, people here seem to be more interested in tasteless bullcrap like The Fast and the Furious Tokio Drift

Anyway I got into Initial D after reading and hearing about it. I bought the entire collection in one go barring Fourth Stage. This was just after Third Stage's release. I found it enjoyable to watch as long as you don't look too far into the various techniques the driver's use and just view it as an anime. Yet to buy Fourth Stage, haven't had the time to finish my other anime I've got stockpiled up lol.
