I really havn't read any manga before just no time since im usually reading text books and what not for class so my question is what would you all recomend for a good first manga?

Well i would recommend a good storyline and a great concept.Another other suggestions by other people?
Yay is the 20th of December (well here anyway) 5 days away from Christmas and the official opening of Manga Japan (or so Moto-san says) yay *throws confetti in the air* sorry I didn't know where I should've typed this so I put it here xD

A good starter manga is usually an anime series that you have already watched and enjoyed. It will get you use to reading in the opposite direction and how manga flows. From there you can break into bigger and better ones. Manga, like novels, (usually) contains much more story than it's animated counterparts.
Oh and for everyone looking for manga. #lurk Has plenty of old stuff if you can't find it on sites like Eden or MD.

Hmm ... maybe it might be better if we diversified the thread a bit and made it a bit more specific, having so many topics in one threads would usually make the thread fill up quickly but in this case maybe it would be wiser to have spoiler etcs. As another thread entirely, just a suggestion, maybe I'm just not thinking clearly today ^_^
