Favourite/least favourite aspects of Japanese culture.

What are they?
Personally I like the apparent low crime rate and low levels of media censorship.
I dislike the culture of long working hours and the exam hell period of school-life.

I like the low crime rates, as well. I also like their game shows, music, and politeness.
I dislike how the men are really perverted, how the kids are loud and mean, and their extreme sense of fashion.

It definitely has to be thier politeness, their crazy innovations and power naps!
For dislikes...hmm. Really can't think of any.

I really dislike the fact that the students in japan, now a days..are like..wannatabe gangsters. they have their hair all highlighted..holes everywhere on their body...its a complete embarrasement. and so many people smoke on the streets too..i know, smoking happens everywhere..but, still..its better for the earth tooo.

The things that I love the most from Japan is definitely their anime, manga, and music. I like how they always on time. I also like how they take care of the environment. Their technology is great, but they still keep their culture like Bon Odori, other kind of festivals, etc. I like that they have a spirit of hardwork.
Their culture about free sex isn't really fit me since my country or culture in my country don't permit something like that. I don't like the issues how some guys could touch you in a crowded train.. It's pretty scary... My parent don't allow me to go to school there because those kind of issues and I'm really sad about it
So until now, here I am. Couldn't speak Japanese, huhu...
I also don't like the price for stuffs that's being sell there. I mean, it looks like they sell things really expensive in their own country.. The price of manga in Japan is more expensive than in mine...
Is it true that the crime rates there is low?? Never heard about it..

Opps, I should have mentioned they are low in comparison to where I live (the UK) ^_^

@ Peace123 : But is it true? I mean, about the sexual abuse in train, etc. Their country do looks really save. Policemen are everywhere, right? You could easily ask them when we're lost. If you lost in my country, maybe you'll just... lost.
Edit : Forget to say that I also like Shinkansen ^^ I never go by train here.

That is true i'm afraid. But they have been trying to crack down on it lately. Recently some controversal 'women only' train cars have started running.

Well, that's a relief. I read the news. It must feels really bad if someone suddenly touch you in a crowded train. Must fight those 'chikan'!! Lol
Well, i love the fact tht you're spose to slurp loudly when you eat noodles... i also like those tatami beds... i hate the fact tht they're new school term starts in April... well there's more stuff i like about it.. but there's too many to list...

I love the traditional aspects that continue to flourish in Japan, even in the little things.

I'm pretty sure this does not happen. Or at least none of the Japanese people I know do it

Me too. I don't think so. But women, I believe, in some circumstances are considered less than me. For example, the government. I still can't get the idea why a woman can't be a Queen who rule the country.
Women who walk behind men, If I correct, not happen in Japan but in some countries like Pakistan. I read some books, true story about how the women are only being 'objects' and 'worthless'.
