Let's revive this thing!

Let's face it, this group, like quite a few here on AP are dying, it's quite sad, so I thought we should revive this thing, to once again be able to help the newbies..
We'll need Umboody, since he is the admin of the group, and it'd be nice if people submitted self-written tutorials to help people with common things, such as my WiFi tutorial.
Cheers!

Yeah, good idea ... um, have you already written Umboody? And do you have any ideas how to revive the group?
Ok, it seems like this group is now more or less officially dead :(
No, I haven't contacted him yet, thought he'd check back on his own group.. ;-O Eeh, I myself have been a weeeee bit busy with studies the past few months. I'll try check back more often..
I think it would be better to make tutorials of graphical tools such as Gimp and Inkscape.
Graphical tools have their own niches (not sure if niche is the right word) and can feel really limited unless given proper guidance in beginning. Help with using more powerful feats effectively can be taunting even after longer period of usage.
At least for me ap wouldn't be the first in mind resource regarding technical help.
Of course technical help can be provided when asked but net is filled with tech-savvy
forums where info can be found rather easily. Also I believe that high percentage of new Linux adopters are Ubuntu (or some of its derivatives) users 'cos of its high visibility in news and blogs and Ubuntus community support is at least IMO really good.
Been a while since I've done a thing in ap thanks to Finnish military forces and school that I started in fall. Gotta try to push a new wall soon.
Hope that ap-lug starts running again!

Yea, tutorials on any and all UNIX related subjects are welcome in my opinion, that includes tutorials on GIMP and Inkscape, and any other graphics programs you might be using in Linux/*BSD, as well as common/not-so-common tasks in the operating system, anything that people might or might not have problems with, really.
Cheers!
Cheers!
