: Annoucement: It has come to my attention that there are a few members who are close to finishing up there walls. So, with this new knowleage I'm holding back the contest a bit long. Its not like anyone is actually posting or something in the group anyways. So, theres no reason not to wait longer. So, anyone who is still working on them. Keep working. I understand that 'life' comes first. So, we'll wait longer. Its only fair.
Plus, I don't have the judgeing rules figured out yet...

Hey Doki... Yes, you can still submit an entry. Just post it up on this thread. All that is required is this...

1. Entry must be of ONE/1 anime female. No one else.
2. Must have a 'direct link' threw 'image shack' or another image provider
3. Post with your entry a short discription of 'Why she's the best female role model'. Can be personal and/or have the story line in to discribe and further tell of how your female is the best role model.

If you've got all that covered. Then just post it here and I'll post it up on the 'blog' I'm using to keep things organized as this contest goes on. And I need the 'direct link' because some of my judges aren't from AP and all that sorta things. *^^*heh So, just in case you wondering.

I think it would be better to end with this contest... no matter some members are late or not. Why do I say that? Because for the dynamic in NEWA, I think we need more contests, scheduled and extendable exceptionnally for excpetional reasons : how do you want to motivate members with a contest stretching from december to may? I think once a month would be better... maybe less entries for one but quitemore for the same time.

I just started this one back in dec. to try to get people going in this group and nothing really happen. So, if you'd like. Your more then welcome to start your own contest here in NEWA but for this contest I'm willing to extend it more.

The reason she's the best female role-model: (Includes the anime's storyline *chronologically* because she's the main character.)

Kou Shuurei dearest dream has always been to become an official in the imperial palace and make the world a better place, even during a time when women were looked down upon as never being able to participate in politics.
When she was little, the emperor's health was failing and his sons began warring over who should become the next emperor, leaving no one to rule and the land was almost torn apart by famine and disease. She never gave up though, and cared for the sick with her father.
At the age of 18, she was asked to convince the current young emperor to start participating in politics before he was dethroned by becoming the temporary empress. She was chosen not because of her lineage, but because she was extremely intelligent and well-read.
Shuurei managed to convince him after he saw how eager she was to participate in politics, and even after her job had ended and she headed home, he couldn't stop thinking about her and passed a bill that allowed women to take the tests to become officials. She later passed in second rank out of everyone. The emperor then chose her to become governor of a forsaken area that was collapsing from a clan fued and a mysterious illness, which she put her own life on the line to save.

General Summary: Shuurei is the best female role-model because she accomplished feats almost impossible for anyone, but especially for women, all by her intellect and perseverence.

(AHH I'm SO sorry it's so long... the series is insanely long and still ongoing, but I left out most of the second season in the summary to spare everyone... >.<)
