Well as with all Miyazaki films I've seen I loved the artwork, had I enough money, I would pay great amounts to be able to have some of the key animation.
as to the story, I thought it was a good coming of age story, it was well played out and the ending was satisfying, there really wasn't any ends left untied.
as the story is someone's creation and they poured their love and hard work into it, I don't think there would be anything I'd change, I liked it all.
I'm not sure I understand how you mean this...

I thought the story was really well done and interesting, it really showed in the movie just how much thought and love was put into it's creation. The art work was out of this world (literally) and the character development was fantastic as well, they were so well written and original. For instance, I really liked how intelligent Chihiro was. I mean, like, so many times in anime you'll see characters that are kind of oblivious to what's going on around them in different ways, it's such a wonderful thing to see when the creators are able to put so much reality and insight into their characters. All in all, the only thing I really have to complain about is that there hasn't been a sequel ^_^;
The art in the movie was a bit surprising to me. As far as I knew it wasn't classic 'anime'. You know the big and clear eye's. With facial features that well rounded and what not. It was very suprising to see smaller eyes off set more on there face's but it did make them more real as characters.
I personal, think the movie's story and plot line flowed very well and even threw out the whole show. Things connected well and you mainly stayed with 'Sin' the whole way threw. Knowing what she knew and only that. So, that was fresh and knew.
The ending was sad but in a way it had to end that way. She was in a world totally different from the one she came from. She had to come back to her world and there just wasn't a place for 'Kohaku'. Being a water spirit and all. *^^*heh Oh, I really liked the dusty car when they all crossed back over. Really, showed how much time had passed. *^^*

I like this movie. It has good storyline and artwork. I wonder why Sen's mother and father ate those food even Sen told them to stop. Um, isn't it Sen wen to another world for days, but why in the same town (when Sen came back), it still daylight.
