What is Arus Fantasia

Arus Fantasia is a side-project organized by the Scenic group. Its purpose is to create a fantasy world (named Arus), illustrating it through scenic wallpapers. The goal of this side-project is also to encourage people working on scenic illustrations, work together and share their knowledge with each other, and stimulate the imagination.

Project Rules

There are only a few rules that you need to follow if you want to take part to this project:
- You may only use scans from Artist's categories or you may use your own original art if you feel confident enough with it. You may not use scans from specific Anime/Manga/Game categories.
- There are no deadlines. Haha, well this is not really a rule, but simply put do not feel rushed when working on this, take your time if necessary, the goal is to produce something and learn from this experience anyway. Of course if you think you can work in a short span of time you can do it, nobody will yell at you for that. There are no time constraints anyway.
- If you are working on something let the others know about it by communicating it in the Project Discussion thread, this way we can all keep track on who's working on what.
- Whatever you decide to illustrate, if it's a location of Arus (the fantasy world) that still hasn't been created by someone else, be sure to give a name to it and to place it in a certain area of the World's Map (world's map still needs to be created at this point). What you draw tells a story on its own but locations still need names so that they can be easily recognized, especially if other members of the group may want to draw illustrations of that same area/place you've drawn. Furthermore, remember that you need to be coherent: if you are illustrating some sort of ancient forest it'd be weird if you placed it on the map right where someone else created a desert. Or, atleast be sure to provide some sort of motivation or hint that would justify that.

Can I partecipate?

Anyone who's member of this group can partecipate, there's no restriction and you can make as many wallpapers as you want (it can be just one, or more, it doesn't matter).

How is the whole work coordinated?

People can work on a wallpaper on their own, but you can also do it through a collab with an other member of the group if you want. Even if you are working on your own, you're still encouraged to talk about what you're working on and let the others know so that the fantasy world that we're creating will follow a general level of coherency and consistency. Not only that, but if you need assistance or just need some tips or advices, feel free to talk about it with the other members and share ideas. Learning comes also by simply sharing informations even if you're not directly collaborating with someone.
