There are organizations etc with acronym names, significant numbers etc. so you've got more to go on than pure character names/aliases and anime/manga/game titles. x__x it's a great big gray area as to what we should permit and disallow...but as of the moment, i want there to be differentiation between existing acronyms, like ROD, which are okay, and non-existing/uncommon ones, like HS for .hack//sign or something, which aren't okay. ^^; it's like radar vs rdr. if i say radar, it has meaning. if i say rdr, sure i can insist it mean the same as radar, but nobody recognizes it.
i'm sorry that i'm not really good at this contest stuff, especially since we've hit some controversy regarding the rules. but thank you for understanding zazou. =] i'll talk it out some more with august.

I though of an additional rule who could be to just add a little text (yeah more and more text... (hum... should turn down my motivation a bit! :D)) in the description explaining the relevance of the acronym we pick... Like giving the reason and the acronym meaning and stuff... (It's also good if we wall manga/anime/games not very well known)
Anyway a little helper gave me an idea to not lose my work! Yeah! I'll be done next week I hope!

so my point is can we still use say like P and have pikachu in the wallpaper?
or M and mugen?

@koharu: letter-vs-character-wise, the and is a bit small. however, it is acceptable here because letter-vs-wall-resolution is good. =] it's very noticeable. as to having more letters...well, it would be preferred if you kept the focus on that one letter, as your wall is depicting only Near. multiple letters are allowed just for the case of acronyms. sorry. ^^;

I'm not familiar with the series, but i trust your judgment so i'll restate the standard: as long as the acronym is common and well known, then it is okay to use. =]
