Sounds interesting! If you did about postcards, were i can sign? XD

A postcard contest sounds good. Anyone up for it? =) Sounds simple enough. ^_^
It could go along these lines:
1. Each person will be given a particular country
2. Design post card based on the country. Ex: Egypt=pyramids
3. Does'nt have to be anime-related.
4. Have to be in the size of a standard postcard.
5. Can be abstract or scenic. But must symbolize the country very clearly.
OR
We can have a walling contest instead.
The rules would be the same as above, but instead it'll be in the form of a wallpaper.

Actually i only limited to do a postcard... :) But actually you have to gave us a nice country... because if you give us a weird one, like give afganistan (taliban? ---> maybe a parodia with azumanga?), or georgia (military troops of russia?), or artic(polar bears?), or nordic countries (maybe make odin? wait a minute... maybe a code geass related can be done with it...), polinesia (there something related? dunno...), zimbawe (Hmmm... gorillaz?). I will make a weirder one! XD

Alrighty since everyone is liking the postcard idea. We'll stick with that instead of the walling idea. I'll post up the details soon. ^_^

Umm, you do realize that a standard post card size is actually quite a lot of pixels, right?
especially if someone wanted to make it print worthy and use 300dpi, instead of 72.
how about we define a size in pixels to use, because postcards are in inches, because part of the idea behind the postcards was that they would be small and easy to do. though a standard postcard in landscape format has a 4:3 aspect ratio, same as 1600x1200. which means that those who so chose could make theirs wallpapers. so maybe it would be better to just say that it has to either be a 4:3 or 3:4 aspect ratio, 3:4 for those who want to make it portrait instead of landscape. and each person can decide how big they want to make it in pixels.

I didn't mind about that, i use illustrator... and that's not a problem... vectorz images are great!

Nah i just wanna focus this contest on small things. So it will be just postcards...no wallpapers. About the size, i'll give you all a template to work on and you all will just decorate over it. So it will all be standard in size.

Oh and one more piece of info. You will be working on both sides of the postcard. Front will be your main design, and the back will have a stamp, address, and other usual things you would find on a postcard. I'll also need you to write something interesting in the postcard. More info on the whole contest will be posted up in the contest thread when i get it up. There's so many things to cover. So it may take a while before i actually get the thread up. @~-J@ Besides im supposed to be studying now. >__>
