Lol the motivational posters reminds me of the lolcat pics (are those motivational posters too??). Haha anyway im cool with anything as long as you all like the idea. After all it's a contest for you members. ;D

*seconds damoser* my excuse is that I'm a european guy :P *follows the clichee* I can only think of ecchi and hentai and soccer... so don't expect me to be creative xD.. ok those are the things girls think about us anyway :< and sometimes it's useful to be just that :D.

But I really wouldn't know .. the best would probably morphing walls :D.. like .. walls showing certain figures in a manner that belongs to other anime.
Examples:
Nagato Yuki playing a violin, resembling Michiru from Sailor Moon a lot
Some Haruhi-scan that is mixed with Miku and you actually only can guess it has something to do with Haruhi (but it's still in there)
Nagato Yuki cosplaying some Touhou-character (I'm bad with names)
Haruhi cosplaying (I don't follow the anime or manga) - seems a bit as if she's cosplaying someone from Black Lagoon or something
Haruhi starring the queen in alice's wonderland
Haruhi being a vampire
And finally: Haruhi & her crew starring as Asuka and the neon genesis crew.

All images are (more or less) worksafe. What I meant to show with all those examples: one set (Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi) can look like a lot more.

Steps: depending on your skill a wallpaper could have one or more of the following:
- change background and / or places as well as basic colors so that one anime looks like it's in another one
- change clothes (if your skills allows you to) so that the characters look like they are from another anime (alternatively: try to find a scan where this has been done and put it in a wallpaper)
- change expression (needs even more skill)

These steps would allow a lot of people to participate in this event while allowing the more talented people (or ones with a lot of time) to add their own touch so that the wallpaper stands out even more.

That's just an idea.. I wouldn't want to organize this tournament as I rather tend to not participate in much of the events, because I lack time.

I like the idea too. I'm not sure if I want to make a wallpaper out of something like that because that could take months, but just working on a scan and transforming one of the characters into something from a different anime sounds like fun.

"morphing" would require a lot of time and patience and as Misao-san so elegantly put it once: "the members are lazy"

the idea does sound interesting though

Well that's why I offered several steps:

- one for the less versatile / lazy members (changing the settings)
- one for those more versatile / less lazy members (change colors + settings + maybe some clothes (in terms of coloring tho))
- one for those absolutely versatile and highly motivated people (crazy possibilities and a high amount of creativity could give a highly awesome result :P)

I'd even say that people could join into small groups of one-two or three people and try to work on one piece. I really am sure that there would be great results if people were to approach this seriously.

On the other hand I don't know myself how well I could do that - especially because I have one big vector/painting project going on and one programming project :/. So that's just an idea so you don't say members here are even too lazy to offer ideas :D.
I'd probably join a group of 1-2 people if we were to do this kind of "event" :D.

I'd just like to add one thing to it. Like instead of making it refer to just any other animes, you can also refer to popular movies (Ex: Batman, Harry Potter...), cartoons (Ex: Simpsons, SouthPark, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast...), fairytales (Ex: Snow white, Cinderella, Jack and the beanstalk...), books (Ex: Alice in Wonderland...), etc.

If everyone is ok with the idea, i'll start up the official contest thead soon. ;D

Does it have to be a wallpaper? Because that would be considerably harder. If we're allowed to do a character morph (without much of a background, or just not wallpaper-sized), that'd lower the bar.
