New contest! This one should be fairly simple and easy. Read the instructions carefully and you should have no problem with it. =)

Instructions

1. Register in this thread. Just mention that you wanna join.
2. Once the registration closes, you will each be assigned to a country.
3. Download the postcard template psd file here.
4. Open the file and start decorating it according to the country you have been given.
5. Both sides must be decorated. Main design will be on the front side, and other additional decorations can be added in the back.
6. The stamp can be altered. You don't have to use the shape i gave you. But it could be in any design you like. So be creative.
7. Put a fictional address in the space provided. Again have fun with it.
8. Write something interesting in the space provided. Be creative here too. Remember this is a stalker contest. So relate it to stalker things. But don't go overboard and write inappropriate things. >_> What is considered inappropriate will be judged by me. So if you're not sure, ask me.
9. You have to include " Stalker Club Postcard Contest 2009" somewhere in your postcard.
10. Save the whole thing in jpg format and submit it here in this thread in link/thumbnail form.
11. Deadline 31st July 2009.

1. How can i relate the country to my postcard design?
It can be related in any way you like. For example you got Japan. Well that's easy. Just go along with some anime designs. Or you can put robots and machinery since Japan is a technologically advanced country. Or you can make a scenic design with sakura trees. Try to be as creative as possible.

2. Can i do an abstract design too?
Yes you can.

3. Must i include anime characters?
No. You don't have to. But you can if you want.

4. How many entries can i submit?
Only one entry per person.

5. What do you mean by fictional address and fictional name?
It means that the address cannot be a real address. Just create an address. Same thing with the name. Make a funny name or something, but not a real person.

Um anyway here's my attempt to explain it as clear as possible. =O

Before anything, you must wait until you are assigned to a country. This will only be done after the registration of the contest closes. So just wait for now...After you have been given a country, follow these steps:

1. Download PSD file. Ok downloaded it already? Good...
2. Open the PSD file...yes use photoshop.
3. Decorate the postcard. This means that you should make it look like a postcard. You have seen postcards around right? Well just decorate it like that. It can be a scenic or abstract design. But you must relate the design of the postcard to the country that you have been given. For example i give you India. So you must include something that represents India. Maybe a picture of a bowl of curry, or maybe a picture of the Taj Mahal, or anything else that is related to India. So get creative!
4. As you see in the psd file, there is two blank sections. The top is the front of your postcard. So put your main design here.
5. The bottom blank section is for the back design of the postcard. This is where you put the name, and address. But make sure you put a fake address and name. Just create something. The back of the postcard is also where you will be writing something. What i mean is pretend that you are writing this postcard to someone like you would normally do with a postcard. Like say "greetings from India!..how are you?..im doing fine here...etc". But try to make it sound interesting. There is also a part where you can decorate the stamp. You can follow the shape of the stamp i used there, or you can make your own. Be creative about it.
6. After you have finished decorating everything, save the whole thing in jpg format and upload it into a photo-uploading service like imageshack or photobucket.
7. Then post the direct link to the image in this thread, or put it in thumbnail form.

And you're done! Hope you get it now. *dies after typing long description*

What kind of countries are you planning on sending out, Misao? Will it be cliche, like Japan, India, Egypt, France, USA, or will there also be countries that people will actually need to learn something about in order to make a good postcard?
