At least it's still downloading fast enough, though i wouldn't mind having a dedicated T3 to myself. but that'd be a lot of money.

I need a better computer, so i can do as many thign as i want at once and not have it freak out. the prob is, for me to have acomp like that i'd be spending prolly around 5,000 dollars on it. darn me and my multi-tasking.

The Vectorness Monthly Challenge

The Vectorness Monthly Challenge is exactly that, a wallpaper challenge with a new theme each month. Members will get 24 days to create a vector-based wallpaper on the chosen theme; afterwards all members are free to vote. Winners will be selected and their work proudly displayed on the group's homepage for the following month. So get out your bezier curves and check it out today!

Scheduling

1st of the month: The monthly theme will be announced on the group page, along with any additional requirements.
24th of the month: Wallpapers are due at midnight, GMT (aka AP time) between the 24th and the 25th.
25th of the month: Voting is opened.
Last day of the month: Voting is closed at midnight, GMT.
1st of the next month: Winners are announced and a new theme is given.

Themes

Themes will be chosen by the moderators. The moderator who selects the month's theme will also become that month's challenge coordinator, meaning they will moderate the monthly challenge thread, collate the month's entries, tally the votes, and cast a final tiebreaker vote if necessary. He or she will have the last say on whether a wallpaper meets that month's theme criteria, so if in doubt, please contact him or her.

Submissions

All members of Vectorness may enter one wallpaper into the challenge. You are free to change your mind over which wallpaper you wish to submit, as long as you tell us which wallpaper is your final entry by the 24th at midnight.
Wallpapers must be vector-based. This means that at a minimum, the character artwork of the wallpaper was drawn using vectors. The monthly Challenger Coordinator has the last say on how much non-vector work may be allowed in a wallpaper (including but not limited to the usage of stock photography, textures, 3d renders, etc.)
Wallpapers should be submitted to AP and follow all the standard AP guidelines.
Wallpapers must follow the monthly theme. If you have any questions as to whether your wallpaper meets the monthly theme, please PM the moderator who is running that month's challenge.
Wallpaper must be done by you. Please, no collaboration wallpapers (that's what Two-World-Collision is for!)
Wallpapers have to be NEW, meaning that you have created/finished them for the first time after the Monthly Challange has actually started. Wallpapers that have been completed and/or submitted to AP prior the beginning of the monthly challenge itself will not be accepted.

Voting

All members of Vectorness will be free to vote on the wallpapers submitted to the monthly challenge. Members will be given two (2) votes, meaning they may vote on up to 2 wallpapers they feel are the best. Members do not have to use all 2 votes, and you may not cast multiple votes on a single wallpaper.
In addition, members who also submit a wallpaper will be given two (2) additional votes for a total of four (4) that may be used on any submission that is not their own (that would be a little too obvious :P) Again, members are not obligated to use all 4 votes if they do not wish to, and you may not cast multiple votes on a single wallpaper.
Please note that if there are not enough entries during any given month (less than six) that the number of votes each member may cast is subject to change, which will be noted in that particular month's thread.

Winning

The votes will be tallied after the end of voting, and the one with the most votes will be prominently displayed on the group page for one month. 2nd and 3rd place will also get a smaller display.
In the case of a tie, the moderators will be asked to cast another vote as a tiebreaker.

Miscellaneous

Rules are subject to change depending on how the first few monthly challenges work out.
