Who Wants Widescreen?
This thread is meant as a sort of informal poll, trying to see what widescreen resolutions people like to use most.
Personally I have a 1280x1024 monitor at home but a 1920x1200 at work.

I use dual monitors at home (1280x1024 * 2) and have a 1680x1050 widescreen laptop.
Oh yeah, and my first post here ever. :) *waves* Still in awe of the skill around here and more than a bit gunshy to show any of my first efforts at walling. ;-) plan on lurking in the tutorials for a few months, then see what I can come up with. ;-)

I used 1680x1050 on my laptop. But I think the ideal resolution size would be 1920x1200 for wallpaper since Windows XP will resize it if its too large.
Nice group btw, since I'm on my laptop I can't use those nice walls here unless I modified it. :)

Now because my computer's monitor has changed, I use 1280 x 1024, alltough lots of my walls are 1280 x 960. ^^; 1280 x 1024 is much better than 1024 x 768 because it's more square & it's bigger & most of the walls is AP are 1280 x 1024^.^

I have daul screen and 1920x1200 just look alot better then 1024x768

Lol...it's actually exactly what it sounds like...the monitor screen (resolution and aspect ratio) is wider...ie a normal monitor res might be 1280*1024 (5:4) ...a widescreen might be 1280*800 (16:10)...it's also the one i use :)

I duel wield 19"crt 1792x1344 and 19"lcd 1440x900, yeah i'm weird.

I use 1920x1200 myself. As other people have said before me, it seems to be the most convenient one as a base, or so it seems...
My Notebook uses 1280x800 res, so I have to look for that in a wallpaper. I know from experience that stullz makes some really great widescreen walls.

I use 1440 × 900

I might try that. I use 1280x800 according to windows.
The PSP res is 480x272 according to a website i just checked that made them.
I use 1280x800 on my notebook.
I use 1920x1200. I love the resolution, of course, but I miss having the ability to collect tons and tons of gorgeous wallpaper (as I did back when I was using 1024x768). Which is not to say that I haven't found some amazing widescreen walls, especially at AP, but there just aren't as many of 'em out there. Unfortunately.
