Silly me to have forgotten to put in an Intro topic... Well I encourage all members to introduce themselves here... So here it goes... Well my name is Luis Lawenko and I am 16 years old... I was the founder of Writer's Block eversince this site was still in version 3... The reason why I made Writer's Block in the first place is because I love to write... I am a poet as well as a fiction writer... I also like all types and kinds of anime... I don't like to pick a favorite because I don't really have one :P
Well that just about sums it up... If you want a more details about me feel free to look at my userpage (once I actually get the time to writer a bio that is XD)

I'm back now heheheh
Anyway, I'm Kate and I'm 20 years old. I go to college at Northern Michigan University. I write poems and little stories in my spare time. I don't write very frequently, but more whenever an inspiration hits me. As you can probabably tell from my SN, avy and sig my favorite anime is Tsubasa Chronicle, but I like others too.
Um...I don't really know what else to say. XD

Here I am again, glad to finally see Writer's Block public, because somebody forgot to enable that. >_>
Anyway, here's a short introduction of myself: I'm Alan, I'm 16, and I am from Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the United States, and currently attend West Mesa. I also play for the varsity tennis team, love to play games at home, love to be retarded at school, and love to make web pages. I'm looking forward to being able to write more here when time permits. :)

My name is my own, although I'm willing to share if you really wish to know. I do stuff at the place, am taking the year off school, like making layouts and wallpapers, like to draw, and the so on. I write when I feel like it, usually tid bits for filing, and have . . . . . . ten? Maybe twelve stories in a series started, as well as two others that are only loosely related to the first. I'm not much of a poet although I do dabble from time to time.

Hi, I hate my username and go by Phoenix on the web. I'm attending a Business College in NYC and absolutely hating my stone/steel environment, despite the technological resources they offer. I'm majoring in Marketing Management, only because it is the closest field in which my parents agreed with pertaining to the art field of some sort. I wanted to be a writer or graphics artists, but my parents refused to let me study anything outside of Business. So here I am- Sarcastic and miserable, suffering from minor depression for 6 years and episodes of bipolar disorder. It's 3 in the morning on a school day AGAIN so now I've also become an insomiac. I write and express in any form of art: writing, visuals, and even instrumental, only because I have trouble expressing thoughts any other way and because it keeps me semi-sane. Writing is also the only thing my parents acknowledge that I'm okay at. My math is horrible. I hate math. And evidentally, math hates me.
Hey all! I'm kind of a jack of all trades kind of guy when it comes to art, writing, and expressing myself. The medium I choose to express myself relies very heavily on how I feel to begin with, and I often go months at a time concentrating on only one medium, then won't touch that medium again for months after. I've written a lot of poetry over the past 7 years, a lot of which can be found on my website (you can check my profile), I draw, do digital art, make anime music videos, write and compose music, write poetry, prose, fold origami, paint, love artistic photography, costumes...and just about anything that can be seen in some sort of artistic way. I may not be very good in any one of these hobbies, but I am good at analyzing various forms of art and try my best to help others improve their own skills. These days, I don't have a lot of time for myself to create, write, and draw, but inspiration often comes at some of the weirdest and most random times :D

I just noticed this group today and decided it would be a great group to join. Anyway, you can call me Pink, derived from my username. I am currently a Senior in high school and will be graduating this year. I write poems and fictional stories since middle school, though I only gotten better once I reach high school. Believe me, you won't want to see the poems I wrote in middle school and I will never show it either since it is so horrible and cheesy. I only write poems based on inspiration, these inspirations probably only come around once every two months sadly. Actually, I enjoy writing fictional stories more and I have written some stories, one in which reached 30+ pages but then I lost all inspiration for it so now it's just sitting in my hard drive. I draw and paint in watercolor as well but not a lot like I used to now that college is just around the corner. I'm currently writing a story right now after hearing a wonderful song that brought tears to my eyes and inspired me to write this story. I'm not setting a page limit for it, seems like every time I do, I never made it and stopped altogether. I better stop now before you guys think I'm weird. Yes, that's me.
Hello everyone ^_^
I'm August199 (so named for the month, in case you wonder. It's not my given name, but I think that particular month fits me). If you've happened to have come across any of my wallpaper descriptions, most any of my comments on others wallpapers, or one of a few of the more involved forum posts I've made, it probably won't come as much of a surprise to you that I like to write (as should be further evidenced by the length of this introduction ^^ )
First in my personal history, is the fact that I've always had a passion for reading, and for learning new things. I consider that one of my very best traits, that I am stubborn enough to continue to be a student, even though my time in school is past. I also have a aptitude for working out complex scenarios and concepts in my head, which is both a blessing and a curse for me. A blessing because it allows me to imagine and conceive of how events could go quite differently in a story and to work out all the angels of it. A curse because I seem to be forever imagining worse case scenarios for things (which can be a good thing sometimes that can provide valuable lessons for me, but it can also be a real annoyance to deal with and also be a bit tiresome as well).
For subject matter, I will often go the fanfiction route, because in most stories that I read, I will wish it could have turned out better for the characters than it did. I really like to work out the situations that could actually lead to those better outcomes by first working out what went wrong for them in the story and then working out the ways and means by which it could go right. Of course fixing problems always leads to new challenges for me to work out. I’ve also started a number of original stories as well. The things that I write, like in anime or manga, will deal with subjects that could not happen in real life, but that we can all learn things from, and in a very real way, live out other lives for ourselves in the act of reading or writing these stories.
So anyway, to anyone reading this, I'm very pleased to mean you.

Hi guys. ^^
I'm a writing newbie,
though my 10th grade English teacher says I've got a gift.
Which is sort of odd to think about, since the only things I've written are research papers, essays, poems...
I'm planning to write some stories for some anime/manga series, though I've yet to get around that.
Fanfiction, basically.
I also have this really, really old poem I made for my friends 5 years ago in commemoration for me moving away. I still have the original...and even now, my friends say it's still good (even my 2nd grade teacher) says so. O_O I'm not sure it is...it's a little sentimental and cheesy.
Though...would it be ok if I posted it up?
Anyways, it's great being a writer...XD
Gotta go now, I've been invited to dinner with a friend! Bye!

Hey all
Just found this group today, coincidently found the fact that there even were groups... also today. Still dont really know the purpose of them, but ill see how active everyone is. I am a amatuer script writer, in a film college here in Vancouver. However before scripts I have allways wanted to create my own Novels. I daydream allot, to the point where i can have a conversation with someone, but day dream about something else completely, this is where i get my ideas, inspiration, ect. I stick to Fantasy, Action, and Horror, but 99% of the time, i add all 3 >_<. Unfortunitly due to the fact that im poor, along with... most college students, i cant afford to film a fantasy. THUS my scripts lean more into horror/thriller. I hate writing about something that everyone will like, strange as it may sound, but i like keeping my audience to a certain few, that said i like twisted stuff. Even though i am soon to write a script that is a comedy (so that i can actually film it, without the need for a budget) normally i would never touch comedies, or romance with a 50 foot pole. If i ever do get enough money (would be tough to do in Canada) i plan to make a major fantasy (of course only waaaay down the road, IF given the chance) that i have been slowly developing over about 3-4 years now. Dont know what else to say either then some people say cucumbers taste better pickled.

Hey Everybody!
I'm Sophy, aka Leanne Buruma, and I am in the progress of completing and hopefully publishing three novels! I am fifteen, long blonde hair, and turquoise eyes! So anyway, drop me a line if you'd like to view any of my pre-scripts for my novels! I am really learning to fit in here, especially now that I've found this group! I really hope you will all become my friends!

Well finnaly after finishing reading everyones. I am Alex, 16, from Waverly, Nebraska, in the US ^_-
I have been writing things since i was young... almost as long as i have been gaming.
I have read about a lot of people that are talented poets but when they write novels they seem to always end up stoping at 30 pages... or something in that sense. I know i used to make millions of 20-50 page novels... that had potential to go farther but i lost interest when i schemed up new ideas.
My response to this effect happening, is because you started with poetry or that you are beter with poetry. Poetry is a type of writing that is a burst of your emotions forced into text and into a short phrase in each line then into a page of work. A novel or any book, that isn't just a book of poetry, usually consists of a long thought scheme that comes to the person... Those types of people might have the potential to write poems but they would be thought out poems and would take them a week to get it worded correctly. The people that write freestyle or write something for the first time out of emotional value and just spellcheck it and it wins a prize or something are the types that can't hold the fantasy in their head long enough to bring it up the next day and go on.
In highschool freshman year i spent months working on a novel that i got to about page 120... but since i started other ones inbetween it and they all semed to stop working, i tried to scrap all of them and create something that would go together... Honestly the farthest i have ever acheived in a book is to page 221 ... I have writen many short storys, and novels that are half done. I still plan on writing the Garden Of Eden series **not based off of the christian religion at all** Eden is a D`lorian , an outcasted race in a fictitional fantasy. They are noble and legandary creatures, but very feared by the common folk.
I have never actually finished 1 book of the series though...
Instead i spent most of my time trying to get inspiriation for my poetry.
I have currently won 3 national titles an many state/local ones... for love , death, and a few other things.
I have also been declaired a demented writer in my younger years. Always writing about rape and things dying. My storys pre HighSchool were all ending in a gory death.
Since my immagination is movie-like it is easy to immagine how it looks, and for imagery in poems its exelent.
I have had a few peices of my work ... cause me suspensions in my HighSchool though, because they were very sick rape stories based around demented people.
Hahah, but other than that i am a fairly well respected junior, at least for poetry -_- lol...
Other than that im the Gaming/Nerd that everyone hates ',`-
