Looking back four years on...
Four years in internet years is a long time. Most anime wallers come and go in less than that. Since I first made my first layer, I've progressed a lot, and so has the community. Looking back at the walls that I have made, I asked myself, am I happy with where I'm at right now?
Of course not. If you point to any one of my 41 walls that I've made over the years, I can point out what I don't like, but more importantly I can point out what I learned from making that single wallpaper. To say walling is a continual learning process is pretty obvious, as all things in life are.
I'll never ever reach my pinnacle of walling skills, nor will I be able to come close to the artists in the anime walling community that I've idolized through the years, because one day I will have to close Photoshop for good and walk down a different path in life.
But I won't do that now. Not yet. I still have my dream of making something beautiful, emotional, and most importantly something I can be content with. So until then, thank you for all the encouragement and support. Safe to say, it's been four years of good memories.
