A most frightening encounter
1 month 13 hours ago
On a dark stormy night,
Lit by short intervals of light,
In my house doorway I was leaning,
As this dark night became filled with screaming,
At the sight of canines sharp and gleaming,
For at a steady pace they were now careening,
In my direction without digression,
Despite my objection with unbridled aggression!
With no time to even clasp my hands in final prayer,
I could only gasp with a fixated stare,
Leaving me all but prevalent under the weight of its demonic glare,
Just as my assailant took straight up into the dark and silent air.
Gaped maw, claws, and teeth all now suddenly descending
Time slowed as I tremored with fear that this terror was never-ending
My end was already come and gone to say the very least
As I found myself pinned down to the ground by this wild relentless beast
With his saliva rank and pooling
And his breath so foul and grueling
There commenced a rhythmic thud against the side
Of where my hip was covered with my belt of cow hide
A horrific instance whereof embarrassment I almost died!
I had not the heart to tell my aunt what just happened so I lied
When she came across the pitiful sight
Of me lying lifelessly on the living room floor that night.
.....stupid dog........
