I'd like to add that it's not just insignificance compared to the world. It's also insignificance compared to time. The pyramids aren't just cool buildings - they're also the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing. They've seen millennia go by. When I first saw this image, it was the monumental weight of the world's history that seemed to be looming over Ed. Will he be able to overcome it? Will his actions be worthy of a timeless memorial? Will the End be the beginning?

This wallpaper is really, really, really cool.

When I saw this wall at first, I didn't think it's a good wall, not only the background, but also the character are all normal.However, I find it's really great wallie when I think Edward and the theme of this wall. This author use the contrast of background and character to show the difficulty of alchemist——Edward. Edward is small, the world is huge, but Ed has to challenge this world because he must save his brother and himself. This wall does reveal this thought, the author uses the desert, which means the difficulties in future; uses the black clouds, which means the confusion of future; uses the pyramids to hide sunshine, which means the concealed truth. Edward is only a small human in front of those, which are the things he must defeat, all of these are the theme of this wall. Surely, the background is awesome, the details of cloud and pyramid are natural, which reveals author's carefulness. When I see this wall, I remember the ending of Full Metal Alchemist: Edward surmounts numerous difficulties and dangers, finds the Truth and finally defeats it. Although he will never be a alchemist, it's not important because his brother、his family and his life regenerate. It will be sky and sun instead of desert and dark cloud. Maybe I have said too much, thanks for your wallpaper gives me so many feelings. _(._.)_

i actually read The Alchemist last year and i believe this wallpaper perfectly portrays the end of Santiago's long journey. great job!

Ed is one of my favourite characters and I'm so happy to find such an exquisite wallpaper of him. I must admit that I might be biased since I love wallpapers with small characters. >:3

It is no wonder this was a featured wallpaper. The background is simply stunning, and the concept is brilliant. The perspective, the cloud rendering, and every attention to detail makes this one of the most amazing wallpapers I have ever seen. I also love how small Edward is and that we see him looking up at the sky. It is very poetic.

This is totally awesome. All the elements in your wallpaper are extremely detailed and the colours, lighting and effective use of space here give a very atmospheric feel to this one. I love this wall.....I've read the alchemist too and it was just utter divine.....

I've wanted to fave it so many times in the past but there were so many great wall here in AP (especially showcased and highlighted) that I just end up loitering around and enjoyed the walls without faving any of them.....

The wallpaper sure is breathtaking.It will be even better if the author written what are his thoughts when he/she is making this wallpaper.

My opinion of what the wall trying to show is the "The end is in the beginning,"as it is written below the title.

The wall shows that the end is as vast as the desert,even the wall is make up mostly of desert gives a greater impression.

This impression make by the author is very true, as end is always very vast that it can swallow up everything.

As for the beginning,the author makes a very epic entrance which changes the level of the wall.

The great contrast between end and beginning,light and darkness,sun and desert.Excellent way to protray it.Even the clouds that are shadowing the skies are separated by the beginning.

The last part of the impression of the human will have to let author explain to know the full thoughts on the wall.

Very cool wall, I really love the pyramids, as well as the clouds. The blocks making up the pyramid on the right look a bit too large so it gives a "textured" on impression and I would of liked to see a bit more dust around Ed. But the lighting on him however is outstanding.

Really captivating wall. It captured my eyes at first glance.

The details done here are simply fabulous. The background gives off a gloomy atmosphere which really goes with the overall concept of the wall I think.

The clouds and the rising sun behind the pyramid is the highlight of this wall in my opinion. Though the sand could have used a bit more detail in my opinion. But none the less its still a great wallpaper and added to my fave.
