Who would win in a battle, Unit-01 or Goku?

In my opinion, both of them are the strongest of their seres.
Goku servival from heart disease, and many fearful fight. In the other hand, EVA-01 is more like god.
I just remember that God (I forget the name, but he show up in battle of B(I don't remember either but his forehead have "W" ) fear about Sian (who becoming Yellow Hair).
They are undefeatable.

But there are exception: Have you watched or read "Deathnote" If someone write the name in that, nobody servive.

Even uber powerful Gundams like Wing Zero or the Double X doesn't even stand a chance of defeating Unit-01, they are simply not powerful enough to take down an Eva, especially when it's berserk. A Gundam, if lucky, might be able to harm an Eva, but it would just regenerate anything it loses.

Uh.. You DO know I was kidding right? I was mocking the series my boy... In a Gundam versus Eva fight, I'd go with the Gundams winning the first 3 minutes- giving Shinji his time to freak out and pee in his pants and warm up, then the next 10 minutes or so of the Eva beserking and ripping the pilot out of the Gundam and eating him while Shinji vomits. Gundam pilots may be good along with their also unnaturally strong and irrealistic mech suits, but it seems their weaknesses are their pilots, unlike the Eva that can go without Shinji. Plus Gundams look like theyd snap apart easier, while the Eva's fleshlike body would take longer to yank off. Power-wise, it might not be able to fight long range, but most Gundam fights end really quickly close up, because most of them depend on their huge guns spraying all over the place to destroy their grunt enemies.

Melee Specialist Battle:

Athrun vs Eva- Yeah using Fukada's reused screen caps, Id say the Eva would rip the head off of the Gundam first as Athrun sliced through Eva's arm. Once the sight is out, the Eva will continue its way into the cockit-pit.. Next.

Kira vs Eva- LMAO This dude can't fight up close. Depends on his weaponry too much. Next.

Amuro or Char vs Eva- Funnels.. That may be a problem, but then again running out of ammo against the Eva would be a bigger one. They smply wouldnt be able to destroy it before they ran out of ammo and other crap. Beam sabers would slice through an arm or a leg, but then the second they do that, their gundam would get trashed and eaten.

God Gundam vs Eva- This is a joke right? The AT field. Too slow of an attack that depends on a single thrust that doesnt miss- if it does(and he will against Eva), he's screwed big time.

Wing Zero- Overated piece of garbage will get its wings eaten. Sucks monkey butt at melee fights. Dont tell me those huge-ass wings dont get in the way of a melee fight. Heero's Zero system would be better off with Quatre when he's insane.

Turn A- Another pilot versus rabid animal on the loose problem. Might have Eva on the run for a good 10 minutes, but then things will look bad for the Turn A. AT field vs Moonlight Butterfly thing... Hmm.. There would be a 20 second flash of a white screen without sound then youd have the badly disfigured Eva suddenly emerge and grab the Turn A while the pilot is still panting. Then its over. Probably the best matchup though.

In a fight with machines vs man/living things- machines will lose... Watch Terminator! XD Gundams are too mechanical and depend on weaponry, while the Eva can do all the ripping with its bare hands. Half of them dont move fast enough to turn around and face the Eva if it were to go on all fours and decapitate them from below. Actually thatd be interesting since we have yet to see a Gundam face anything challenging from the ground... kick it? I dont think so...

EDIT: Is the Eva invincible? Oh hell no- The Turn A and its pilot might have lost and torn apart, but Shinji is definitly long dead after the MB, and the emanciated Eva will crawl around for a good 20 minutes and die afterwards. A draw then for those two ^^

Well regarding AT field, you can see in the Evangelion series that the AT field of the enemy can be broken down by using a large quantity of energy... it was in an episode where they have to drain Japan's electricity to convert it into firepower although I forgot the episode... in comparison, EVA AT field is like the Angel's since the technology of EVA's AT field was taken from Angel's AT field...

considering that amount of energy, that is nothing compared to Goku's destructive power whcih we could see in the Dragonball series, could annihilate planets (refer to Vegeta and other enemies of Goku like Cell, Majinbo and Freeza)

And if you pay close attendtion to the series, AT field become null when in close combat... it only affect projectile weapon... and we all know that Goku prefer hand to hand combat.

Combat wise, it is VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE for EVA01 to hit Goku unless it has unearthly speed which we all no it is not applicable to EVA01.

And what about weaponry... Goku can unleash tremendous amount of energy while EVA only use what? A gun and a blade? I don't think it will hit Goku even once...

And there are some that claim that EVA are God-like... I think you mis-interpret... EVA01 only attain that part due to the ritual on the last episode in the End of Evangelion, making EVA01 as an instrument for the rebirth of the world... and it is not even God-like since EVA could perish... EVA01 is not different of EVA02 and you all know that EVA02 was completetly destroy during the End of Evangelion... it just take some EVA to destroy an EVA and I don't think that it EVA won't be damage in that similar way...

So I still make my stand, this comparison is even... Goku is way superior that EVA01

I was just using that as an example of what an AT field can do and when an AT field was "useful".

And you're forgetting what an AT field is... It is not something physical, it literally warps 3 dimensional space. So, it would be impossible for Domon, no matter how much damage he did, to penetrate it.

By the way, all we are doing here is spamming up the forum about Eva vs. Gundam, when it's about Goku vs. Eva, so if you want to continue this disccusion, PM me tomorrow, because it's getting late.

Oh yeah, eva's vs grunts in tanks. Real good example. As for the Eva sereis, might want to pay attention as to who was standing at the end of that fight and who was dinner,

As for lame ass god finger, it would not only get through the at feild it would crush the Eva, then we have it's superior fighting ability, the ability to multiply it self (See God vs. Maxter) then it's last move the Love Love Tenkyoken wich destroyed the Devil Gundam, a colony sized monster.

Eva stands no chance whatsoever.

Double X is strong, there's no denying it, but it's just not powerful enough in my eyes to take down an Eva. Eva 00 survived a point blank N2 Mine detonation and that's without the AT field. If Shinji can manage a 400% Synch Ratio with a berserked Eva 01, I doubt Double X, or even Turn A for that matter can handle it. And let's not bring in God Gundam... He be lucky to even dent an Eva with that lame ass God Finger.

When has an AT field ever been useful?

Remember, Asuka was able to use her AT field to take out long ranged opponents in heavy armoured tanks and all she did was look at them and BAM AT field cut right through them and caused all their equipment and weapons explode. She then continued to take down the 9 completed eva series before her power ran out within 3minutes.

Don't you guys think its unfair that the creators of dragonball made the characters uber powerful. Its like making superman with steroids and resistant to cryptonite. hehe! I just think goku should at least have some kind of weakness right?

I have to get in on this! I would have to say that goku is way to powerful...its not a contest. As for the AT field, early on in the series, units 01 and 00 use a beam sniper rifle to penetrate the Field of the attacking angel. I think that goku would be more than capable of producing such a beam. not to mention his much higher mobility and comperable strength. I would cheer for Unit 01 though (I really love underdogs!!) !*waving a NERV pendant around, cheering, and waiting for the sad, sad end*

Clearly you havent. Eva's arent even close to beeing the God of all mechs.

as for AT feilds beeing only broken by AT feilds an strong enough attack can easily break through.

I think your underetimating the power of the high end Gundams.

Take for example the The DX it's Twin Satelite the normal X cannon could level mountains and was used to shoot falling space colonies. The DX is at elast twice s powerfull. AT feild is uselss against that.

God Gundam could punch it's way through the AT Feild.

Seriously when has an AT feild ever been usefull?

You're underestimating an AT field right here. Only thing in Evangelion that could take down an AT field was either another AT field or SoL. And no, I haven't seen as much mechas as you, but what Unit-01 did in End of Evangelion pretty much makes it Godlike compare to most, if not all Gundams.

And no, I haven't actually "watched" Turn A Gundam, but I know what it is capable of doing.

Goku gets my vote. he could shoot kamehamehas into outer space, teleport inside robot thingy. if you watch movie 8, brolly destroyed an entire galaxy, and since goku gets more powerful after every fight, he surpasses brolly. thus he too could destroy an entire galaxy.

You kidding me? Turn A = Joke. Unit-01 in End of Evangelion is basically God of Mechas.

God of mech's? Are you kidding. no seriously how much mecha anime do you watch. Most super robots can flatten entire galaxies. Shinn Getter Robo was able to CUT three of Jupiter's moons in half.

Tunr A as a joke?!, the thing actually destryoed all civilization on earth nad set it's technology back centuries.

Moonlight Butterfly would turn all Eva's tech into dust and possibly the Eva itsel.f into dust
