It doesn't make sense though, saying what team 'you're going for' when the tournament is over.

Anyway, since it IS over and since pretty much everything that needed to be said has been said, this thread now gets locked.

I've even watched matches from 70's, son.
Trust me, they are worth watching,
especially the game between Argentina and England in 1986 WC.

After watching many international games,
my opinion is that two teams that dive the most are Italy and Portugal.
I was sooo afraid that they would meet in the finals.

And I'm sorry to say this,
but if they can fix that many games, they can fix a foul with no problem.

Instead Italy matches sucks, isn't it? We play dirty and and we won the World Cup by corrupting all the refs. Our next plan is to buy all the Europe, then slowly all the World, then the Moon, then the entire Solar System. Everything will be Italian! :D

PS. the France penalty...THAT was a great dive (in the World Cup final O_O)! Did you watched it? Or you have eyes only for the great italian dives?

i am glad the corruption scandal is over? it is a relief for it to end, is what i mean.

there are still 3 days for the clubs to appeal the punishments, and juve has taken it up, but how cruel is that, to be knocked out of the top flight league for at least 2 years

it is not possible, and will never happen. a referee's decision is final and nothing can change that in the game. if he turn out to be wrong then i guess he will be penalized by the fifa group, but they cannot replay the WC all over again. as much as i want to see more football, they cannot make it so.

there is some action that can be taken, because as far as referee's decision's go, they can only go by what they witnessed and are forbidden to use TV stadium replays (yes, i said forbidden, and that is an accurate way of putting it). zidane's headbutt wasn't seen by the ref of the 2 assistants, so he refered to the 4th official's report. however there are some who say that the 4th official didn't see it, but saw it off the stadium screens as well. you can appeal on that grounds that the officials didn't follow protocol and if its successful, then the WC final match could be scrubbed and a replay will have to be played.

i'm not saying that its likely to happen but it can come down to it and those grounds of non officiating have been used on smaller matches. i'm not sure whose going to, of would, lodge the appeal, but it wouldn't surprise me if it were the french

Hi all!

I think Italy deserved to be the champions. But if they had faced Brazil they would have lost (I'm not sure though). The Brazils should be ashamed. They've sold their souls to different companies and only play for money now not for the game itself.

I mean im greek and im from australia but no offence to a ny italians here but australia got screwed by the italian team cos they dived and we prob wouldnt have won but we could have gotten that much closer to the finals lol at least italy made it to the world cup though lol the euro champions greece coudlnt :P

at least it was an entertaining world cup and every1 had fun watching it so i just hope that every1 can appreciate the world class games they saw and all be freinds in the end =)

If they do that it'll be the most lame thing FIFA could ever do. Just because of an issue between two players, getting back the world cup would be the wrongest thing they could ever do, which would also ruin their image.
