I'm very grateful...it is a little confusing but my knowledge on these wallpaper thing is getting better!!! Wed, 18 Oct 2006 14:56:45 -0400 `asa01 http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/36442/ Err, I'll make things simple to the extreme:

1) read the AP FAQ section for wallpapers.

2) do NOT use paint because it is a low level program (i think you are referring to ms paint?). visit GROUPS >> resource pool >> applications for a list of good software for walling. resource pool also has lists of brush and stock sites recommended for walling purposes.

3) when searching for tutorials, read tutorials RELEVANT to your program ONLY.

gather resources and come back to SZ with an idea of what you want to make or perhaps (even better) some rough work. then we can help you along the way from there. it is best however when you understand the basics (ie the resolutions you are allowed to make, what is vectoring etc) Tue, 17 Oct 2006 19:46:14 -0400 ~TrinitySoul http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/36442/ Yes fine a good pic of a charter you want to use in the wall then extrac it an vectored it.
Heres a link that might help you.http://www.imanimetions.net/main.php?nav=tutorial
With these tutorials i have goten better. Tue, 17 Oct 2006 19:33:42 -0400 ~FlowerGirlAerith http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/36442/ I'm just wondering like do you take a picture off the internet or a screenshot and vector it and I really don't get the brushing tutorials.. Tue, 17 Oct 2006 18:35:28 -0400 `helix-designs http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/36442/ Paint.net? I've never used that program (I've used Paint shop pro and photoshop)

photoshop is the way to go. Vectoring is also the way to go with that pic. You also need to have a better background too...

and no offense it's VERY hard to get original works of art accepted here. I suggest fooling around with a wallpaper and a stock image first to get the hang of making a wallpaper, and then post those wallpapers here for us to give you pointers. Sat, 14 Oct 2006 21:42:21 -0400 *zazou8888 http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/36442/ You should probably try an other software...

I was wondering... Did you draw it yourself or is it a scan? Cause if it's your drawing, you shouldn't use it on AP... The mods don't really like the self made drawings... :-s

If you want to make a wall, try first with something easy to extract and go from there... You can get one on ebay for anywhere between 25-100+ it's a bit spendy but if you want good wall papers then you should get one. But it can't be helped. We're members and we have to obey the rules here. There's nothing we can do to against rules.
Okay to the topic:
1.) Oh dear..your SCAN! What've you done with it?! Did you draw it alone? I don't know the mod's opinion but this is BAD!
2.) If you take a look closer to the wing, there's still some blue parts and that's annoying. The wing's only one too. You shold pay more attention to small things if you want your wall to be accepted in the gallery.
3.) What text is that on her skin? Remove it!
4.) I'll say your bg is too simple.
5.) Like jlee said, this looks so goofy. And the font isn't too interesting. You should put more efforts on it.
Allright,in short,i'll say this wall still has a long way to go. The main problem is the scan. But it's not really bad. Quite nice,i'll say. Good luck on this! ^^ And sorry to be so harsh. The outline looks quite messy (my opinion), or is it just stylish, who knows. Sat, 23 Sep 2006 18:52:51 -0400
