I made my own manga, but well i'm pretty good at drawing ....when i'm not making a manga but it's look bad when i try to make one ^^

I have honestly tried... made a whole book one year, took awhile of course, but it didn't work out since I couldn't find anyone wwho would help me make it an offical book without some serious cash, but hey, whatcha gonna do, eh?

now a days I have to worry about other things than drawing something that will never come to pass if I don't have a bunch of cash to start out with.

now I waste my ideas on fruitless fanfics.... and sometimes original works...

Color first pages are pretty common in manga, especially manga that appear in the 'phonebook' style monthly anthologies. The color pages are printed in a different type of paper, glossy, instead of the typical newsprint, and are used as a way to separate each series within the anthology, plus it gives the artist a spot to explore more than just black and white. However, color also tends to be a lot more time consuming (especially those that use a more watercolor style) and it's also expensive to print every page in color; hence most pages of manga are black and white with screentones.
Not too sure about the colored screentones part myself, having never used screentones. Most of the color manga art I can think of tends to be either CG, watercolor, or cel-style, I can't really think of an example with colored screentones, although they sound fun to play with.

Every once in a while, I'll get an idea and start making a doujin- but it's only just for fun, and usually I only do about 2 or 3 pages. My manga drawing skills are pretty bad, though, so I don't think I'll ever actually do a complete doujin.

I am making one with the computer it is much easyer that way. because i can change what they are wearing easly and i can move there bodys easly too.

I drew an manga a couple years ago, now that I look back on it the drawings are uber-crapy but at least it had a plot.I recently tried again and I was very disapoinated with the fact that 1. my plot was reaaly stupid and didn't go anywere 2. I could only draw people from certain angles and 3. My characters have the emotional range of an eggplant.

One of my friends draws really bad but she recently wrote a manga that has at least has a pretty good plot.

This is nice. i'm also trying to make one but unfortunately, i get fed up fast and end the project right away. i'm not really good at making stories that's why. and my drawing skills are alo degrading so...

eitherway, if i got someone to help me with the anime-like stories then i would pursue the project. all i need is photoshop, a scanner and a few drawing materials... :)

I've tried to make mangas, but it always took so long that either I forgot about the story or I changed my mind about the characters and the story and than stopped it...I also have problems with drawing the settings and stuff...but someday I will at least finish one!

I've tried, on something like three different occasions. But I never got past drawing the first ten or so pages, and inking just felt light years away. My friend, though, somehow manages to produce manga constantly. I don't know how... she's really amazing. I hope some day she gets her stuff published.

I've made four pages for an art project about two years ago. First time inking (I usually just do it in pencil and be lazy with it), tedious but was interesting.

Wow mblack, your sister is amazing, she finished vol 2 o.O, for me... I only did two chapters when I realized that the first chapter sucked. The first chapter should always be good! I gave up on my manga and went to actually writing a story with some side pictures (drawing manga boxes take forever!)

Coool!! So other people have tried making their own manga as well =P I never knew {silly me} well, actually i never really thought about it.

When my sister made her own manga {shes drawn 2 Volumes} I was inspired to draw one, once i started on the cover, i was having alot of fun drawing and inking and coloring in the cover. But when it got to the drawing the actual manga...... it got all hysterical {i dont know how to spell the word sorry!! ><}
I immediatley stopped drawing the manga lol
So i just decided to help my sister out with inking the pages of HER manga=P. My hand nearly dropped off after doing all that inking -_____-"
{my sister is thinking of drawing a 3 Volume....my hand will drop off this time lol joking =P hehee}

Hehee I am not good enough tried but was not quite there has many ideas of the story just not good enough at drawing them yet I even went as far as buying a book tell you how to :)

Mmmm I'm really bad at inking (if anybody knows of any tutorial sties it would be awesome) but i did try making some doujinshi: a four page of rurouni kenshin (it was suppose to be longer but i got fed up because my drawing skills suck) and a two page of inu yasha. After that i never tried making a manga (except a one page as a gift for a friend). But i have lots of plans for doujinshis of bleach, one piece and naruto, i just need to get better with the frigging ink. >_<

I've tried. once in grade 5, i did a 25 page coloured manga/comic based on archie style drawing :( it's sad it's sad. but again in gr6 i did another short one but unfortunately didn't finish it based on actual anime-looking drawings. I tried nother one in gr9 with much better-looking drawings but i...FAILED again :@ :@. at the end of gr 9, i tried another one, this one with alot of experience and time and effort and all that crap put into it, i'm proud to say that i've finished it. but it's only like 30-40 pages. story plot's okay. i've tried colouring the first several pages. but i got bored. i've also done a coverpage for it.....pity i don't have the guts to scan it and post it on the internet !! XD XD
