need advice on this one

Oh isee. about the scan. its a little bit blurry what do you suggest?
because i cleaned this already by using the photoshop cleaning tutorial.but i think its no good.

and how can i make the mountain be not 2-d??

Oh i get it now. oops. but i guess you should try to make your mountains look less 2-d. it was kind of hard for me to tell what is positive space and what is negative space. i think you should also add som water texture to the water so that it's easier to tell that it is a reflection of the mountain and sky. i was confused there. >_< and adjust things somehow so that the background doesn't look crisper and in more focus than your foreground scan.

as to brushes, i don't have many ideas, as i am hardly ever reliant on brushes. i don't use brushes, period, actually. i always create my own stuff whenever i can. so sorry, can't really help you there. but guess you could always go for the general stuff one would put in a scenic wall, although i don't get how that's going to help it look more like it's a battle scene >_<

That is the mountain, it is reflected in the water.
the moon and the mountain are reflected in the water. while she is on the other side ..
what brushes should i add?

The scan looks blurry in spots and looks in general filtered. =/ could this be due to your cleaning process?

anyway, the text and the scan go together in meaning (although not in color: the character's so dark and absent of golden hues but the text is yellowish) but i don't see how the background fits. it needs to reflect something of the foreground because all elements of a wall need to be unified. so perhaps a smoking town in the background or something...yeah okay, that might have sounded a bit lame but you get the idea. you need to create relevance betwee foregound and background.

as well, for now, i don't quite understand your bg. with the rough sharp lines, i'm unsure whether this is some sort of strange clouds on a yellow sky. besides that, why are there two lined up white crescents? and why is there a line dividing the yellow part? something about it looks duplicated and vertically flipped. =/

i give my thoughts in straightforward ways so i hope that's okay with you. hope something in there is of a bit of help and good luck making this wallpaper. =]

Well the scan looks okay, could be of higher quality though a bit blurred. I am guessing this is work and progress, because currently the background and scan do not match at all. Due to the style and colour. So definitly have to work on how to blend this together to one smooth wallpaper.

Good luck working on it though :)
