First thing I'd probably do with most of the money is to buy manga, anime, and clothes! Then there's 10%ish for what I need, 15%ish for other people, and the rest for other awesome stuff. But then that all depends on how much it is!

Not sure. Prolly wouldn't do much different. Actually, it'd go towards payin this hella huge bill fer college. Then save half what's left and give away the other half. Maybe I'm not thinking big enough. Let's go a little bigger. Now I can start to even buy things - I'd get a high quality uchigatana made for my height and arm length. Probably get some electronics too. Maybe even buy a house. Actually pay for some adobe programs...the possibilities are there, guess I'll never know what I'd do though^^

If I would make up a scenario here:

"Let's say you won ... um 24 million dollars (american just to pick a currency type). and its non-taxable (not realistic.. but creating a scenario...) what would you do?"

Here is what I would do:

$14 million to charity
- now first of all, sadly due to all the scams that go on these days under the name of charity, I would personally oversee how all this money is used for charity
(eg. go to the 3rd world country and delivery food and medical care)

I would take 2 million for myself and stuff it away, so that myself and future generations in my family would hopefully never be poor, but should still get a job.

I guess that leaves 8 million that I would distribute with mostly family and some of my dearest friends.

I build a new computer with the best components (quad core, radeon 2900XT or Quaddro FX, a looot of Gb HDD, 5 Gb RAM...). Then, i donate a bit of money to a good cause. I buy a lot of videogames, too.
The rest, i save in the bank for other things.

How much money? it depends on the amount. i'm going to buy myself a psp and a ds and a ps3 once the good games are out. if i still have extra i'll probably put it in a bank till i find some other stuff to buy.

well if i had a lot of money i'd probably give half of it to my parents, 1/4 to my big brother, and keep the rest put half of it in a bank where the intest rate is high and with the rest...i'd go on a shopping spree for manga and anime things and save some for rainy day

Will save it in the bank, then a donation for a good cause, and then I will go in a shopping spree of anime, books and videogames via online, also give more HPs to my pc and my internet connection, but I will keep with my normal life most of the time bcs I love graphic design, is really cool to stay in my institute having a nice time with the dean, the teachers and my friends. Also I will keep checking for jobs which requires my abilities.

Honestly, money isn't THAT important to me (which is rather obvious, as I am currently a graduate student and lowering my potential income by getting their PhD). But, if I had a lot of it (the mega jackpot lottery kind of lot) I would probably just invest some, given a lot away (to charity and friends) and help provide for my parents. Of course, I would save enough that I could live doing the research I want where I want comfortably.
