I personally don't like or hate Claymore, I think it is all right. I mean the plot is not really 'that' great and the characters sometimes astound me. I do, however, like the main character. I think the artwork in this anime was O.K to good-ish :)

I'm a bit new to claymore.. I like the idea of having an English style theme integrated in to a Japaneses environment..

however, don't you think that the story seems endless, since demons keep showing up . Even if we presume that the claymores killed all the demons ..They them selfs are still half demons.. so I guess the hero's would be considered the bad guys at that point

but hey... it's just me a noob in the series .. lets wait and see how the story progress

I have watch the series half way through an it is great. I like how they develop the character slowly and at least they tell us how Clare got to be a claymore, unlike other series which never explain a characters origins. I can't wait to see the ending.

Too many. But here I'll talk about Jean, Miria, Flora, Deneve, Helen, Raphaela and Luciela omg. There will be spoilers when I talk about Raphaela and Luciela. That's just unavoidable.

First, I love Jean's honor and determination, and just her entire Clare+Jean arc was beautiful. I had to cry at the end of it. I like her hair too. Just the kinda hairstyle I'd have. And her twisty-arm attack thing (the name escapes me ;_;) is SO AWESOME.
And Miria. Don't get me started on her. She's goodlooking (I love her hair too much). But I love how smart she is too. She deduced so much about the organisation, and managed to pull off the Northern Campaign so well. She's also incredibly hot in her new arc clothes.
Flora. I mainly like her for the pretty. I constantly sketch her. I do like herpersonality too. I have a soft spot for the polite, sophisticated girls.
Deneve. She. Reminds. Me. So. Much. Of. Someone. I. Know. In. RL. It's amazing. Ijust...love how she's such a perfectionist, and such a contrast to Helen. I usually don like those character that are all ying-yang, never thought of by the audience as two separate people, but I have to love Deneve and Helen. But I love how Deneve progressed. How she repeated Helen's advice to Undine and EVERYTHING.
Helen. SHE IS SUCH A JOY. I love seeing her, whenever she appears I smile. Especially when she appeared in the Northern Campaign. My favorite scene of her was when after she 'attacked' Clare and Jean got all defensive, Deneve and Jean were all 'sorry', and Helen was all ':D;'
Raphaela and Luciela. I loved their arc to bits. It made me wibble so much, the sisterly love. I love the two as individuals, too. Especially Luciela, the closet Claymore's gonna get to a catgirl xD AND I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT RIFUL.
BEST. VILLIAN. EVER. Best loli ever, too. I never thought anything could beat Loli!Clare, but Riful DID.
Rigardo is also kinda hot too, but we never saw that much of him, so I view his human form as...kinda eyecandy

NO.1 I love Teresa of the Faint Smile, she is sexy and strong yet beautiful. I wonder if she became an Awakened being, maybe she'll be an Abysmal form or one of the Gods/Goddesses of Yoma and she would be dwelling in the South.

NO.2 Galatea. Well... not much that I can explain, but I like her alot. First her long range capability is cool. Secondly, she looks good. Thirdly, simply she's just a tough customer, especially with yoki manipulation abilities.

I know the ending of Claymore's 1st season was disappointing...but If you want a little ray of hope: I think that the second season will probably redeem the anime, and hopefully take away the bad taste that ending left in our minds. If its a truly good anime (which I think it is) I doubt that a handful of episodes can kill it...

On a completely different note: Raki was kinda cool in the first few episodes...but after that it always became "Little boy cry-time"...a subplot destined to always end in futile emotional outburst of either crying or a use of the expression "I will protect you Clare!"...followed by more crying...and an occasional display of horribly flawed logic...and (shall we not forget)...more crying... Anyways, I thought that was worth sharing ^^ lol

Hahaha everyone was so despair on claymore but the ending wasn't too much like they disappear in the eyes of the org. and galatea said that they all died it was the same in the manga though. on the part of claire and priscilla was edited in anime but it was cool claire can even put a fight in priscilla but it was too early for them to fight that's all and our problem now is that when will be the next season of claymore.

I heard thet Claymore manga is more maverlous than the anime. I think i'll read the manga too. The anime is wonderful but somehow too deep and confused. It also too short in action and not have so deep past. The story seem not too attrective but this anime is still the wonderful thought. Hope it will have the second series. The ending somehow close this series but open for the new battle.

Trust me, i really liked claymore, but then when i heard tat its gonna be a 26 edpisodes, i was gonna cry, i mean, i finally tot tat i found my favorite anime, and it seriously ruined my dream..i was thinking stupid stuff, like how i can raise a fan club, and force the producers to recreate claymore anime..but it was just a stupid idea when i thought about it carefully, but seriously, the ending of claymore anime was more of a letdown to me..i wonder why such a great anime have to end like a piece of crap..

how bout you restrict yourselves from watching anime, if its 100% set in stone that manga is fantastic

i read the claymore manga's and yes you could say there better story wise, but a manga and a anime are very difrent, so comparisions are stupid.

The manga and anime are identical in nearly everything (e.g. plot, characters, etc.) till the end, excluding the fact that some fight scenes were shortened or cut and some other minor things here and there. So a comparison seems pretty evident in the Claymore fan base whether we want it to or not. Can you really blame some of them, because even I wonder why they can't use a solid plot already in existence for the anime?

I can probably speculate because of the time frame, the unfinished manga, the budget, the list goes on and it seems like they had no choice but to rush things they way they did at the end and even though I wish they approached it differently, I'm ok with that. Claymores over, for the anime that is, and it's been great so far.
