But it depends on my mood.
Sometimes I think "instrumental is EPIC! Human voice ruins music!!" but sometimes I think "wow! This lyric/voice is...PERFECTION!!"
It's all about the mood! Wed, 25 Feb 2009 20:41:59 -0500 ~prettyp http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/51595/ Some songs have catchy tunes and others really deep lyrics soo it depends on the song Thu, 19 Feb 2009 11:30:02 -0500 ~prettyp http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/51595/ I like both and i think i prefer whichever when im in a mood(a particular mood) Thu, 19 Feb 2009 11:27:24 -0500 ~zanepepper http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/51595/ I prefer instrumental music Wed, 04 Feb 2009 20:21:24 -0500 ~iMyPrivateMuse http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/51595/ Both. I love both because of numerous reasons.

But I must say, Mozart is freaking amazing. Tue, 03 Feb 2009 22:29:19 -0500 ~FlamingTruth http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/51595/ Lyrical , of course! How else am I supposed to sing the song in the shower? Sat, 31 Jan 2009 14:15:16 -0500 ~matik http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/51595/ I like both currently more into instrumental. I have different moods so sometimes i want to listen to jazz,hiphop,alternative,electronic...
my last.fm http://www.last.fm/user/matik619 Fri, 16 Jan 2009 21:05:21 -0500 ~hoodwinked123456 http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/51595/ I must say that both instrumental and lyrics are important to a song. a song mostly relies on the instrumentals. as long as the song has a melody that has the power to influence the listener's emotion then i classify that as a good song. Fri, 16 Jan 2009 20:04:22 -0500 ~Haggagla http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/51595/ I enjoy both lyrical and instrumental music. A lyric that has a deep meaning or a meaning at all other then "i love you", "i'm sexy" or "i'm rich" i find enjoyable. But a instrumental track can be totaly awesome too depending on the artist. Thu, 15 Jan 2009 19:26:36 -0500 ~sparkdragon http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/51595/ Instrumentals can be lovely at times when the tune by itself isn't just a mess of beats for the singers to sing in time with but have actual melodies of their own. That's why for some songs I keep both the vocal tracks and their instrumental. You've just gotta appreciate them individually because they're so different.

And I don't really listen to music for the lyrics but more for the singer's voice that I fell in love with but yes, I realise that most lyricists write lame and pointless lines and I've just about had it with love/relationship kind of songs. They're EVERYWHERE!!

Instrumentals definitely can measure up to vocal tracks! The really good ones have such lovely melodic hooks which you just can't stop listening to. Look at all our classical music for instance, some of which you listen to once and never forget. Tunes from Final Fantasy music composer Nobuo Uematsu, anime OST composers like Yuki Kaijiura and Yoko Kanno are other instances of proof that instrumentals can be just as good. Mon, 12 Jan 2009 02:07:50 -0500 ~Sarrg http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/51595/ I prefer lyrical, but i also like instrumental. Sometimes it just depends on the song or in what mood i am (in that case i also like it when the song is played with other instruments, like the unplugged songs from Dir En Grey). Sat, 27 Dec 2008 10:29:32 -0500 ~karan-kun http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/51595/ Off-course it depends upon my mood,
but still i like lyrical because it can be heard anytime, especially when there are too many things going in your mind, the words make you feel nice;
on the other hand the thing with instrumental is that, your mind should be calm to listen to the awesome music, and remember guys instrumental is always stress busters
for me..
music is one thing i cant live without, i hope it goes the same for many of the guys around here,
~karan-kun

See-ya

May your day be instrumental!

Fri, 26 Dec 2008 21:42:59 -0500 ~LordDenn http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/51595/ I am listening to all kinds of music. I think that the voice is just one more powerfull instrument, which accents the musical expression. Fri, 26 Dec 2008 09:06:42 -0500 ~Wntiemz http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/51595/ Depending on the lyrics, and depends on how dramatic the Instrumental is like.
other wise, i listen to both. Thu, 25 Dec 2008 20:05:56 -0500 ~keccah http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/51595/ It also depends on my mood... In fact, the first time I got to enjoy instrumentals was when I first listened to Inuyasha - Wind Symphonic Orchestra... I already was a huge fan of inuyasha's ost and when I listened to this symphonic version I fell in love... especially for Dearest... one of the endings if I can remember... I totally recomend it Sun, 21 Dec 2008 08:56:25 -0500
