Actually i don't have any girlfriend but if i have of course i love my girlfriend more than an anime character. But i think i really like Sakura ( Tsubasa Chronicle ) because... she's so cute.

There's no way that would happen in my lifetime. I do love some character to death.. but that's just... well, for fun. Rather than character that doesn't exist in reality.. I prefer real human after all.

I had a BIG crush on James from Pokemon when I was a lot younger XD I made a boy who liked me jealous... but I don't think I've ever loved an anime character more than somebody I was dating at the time.

I fell in love once, i was a little young girl then, with Mamoru the boy with the mask from sailormoon i still like him it would be great if i find someone like him or like Setsuna Mundo but not problematic like in anime!

I would have to yes all the way...I did like Sasami more then anyone for so long and I still do almost...lol...It is kind of messed up but I dont care what others think what so ever...Sasami is like everthing I am looking for...Even thoght I could never really be with her but it is nice to dream...

I think the answer is yes. When my boyfriend complained about that, I'd done nothing but laugh. As I love any character from some anime, I tell him about them everyday.
He never watch anime, but he has to hear me, poor him! I don't feel uneasy for that, because he always talk about football, and I also listen to him. So I think it's fair.

From what I can "see":
You can become obsessed with a character based on the looks and/or attitude, but since it is fictional, the most you can do with it is have it influence the person you may like (what you look for in a girlfriend or boyfriend). Otherwise, one would be taking the obsession the wrong way if you actually fall deep with a fictional character.
It is not wrong to like or admire; think the creators of the character/anime would want that.

There is no way in this universe or any other that I could love an anime character more than my boyfriend. It would be awesome if an anime character was real and that would be super awesome, but my boyfriend could never be replaced, and especially not by a drawing done by some person in Japan or where-ever the heck they stay. My boyfriend is perfect in every way for me. He's kind, gentle, funny, sarcastic at the right times so as not to hurt me, courageous, strong, handsome and he's just perfect! There is no one in this world or any other that I would trade him for! I do not know what I would do without him. He makes my world seem complete and I would surely not be able to move on if he leaves.
