Umm~ i think pein is Nagato.
someone from the Amegakure Village and one of Jiraiya's student.
and i think Pein has the power to move from one body to the other or to copy faces because currently, on the manga, i saw his face and he looks like the other akatsuki member whom sasuke killed, the one who's using clays.

Pein is God like!!

He could have no relation to Jiraiya at all, maybe only Konan was Jiraiya's pupil, but she may have told Pein about Jiraiya before, so when Pein says "Jiraiya-sensei", he may mean Konan's sensei.

Jiraiya trained 2 boys though. It's possible that Pein is this second boy. Considering he changes bodies a lot, and his second body looks like Deidara. Perhaps that first body is in the image of the 4th.

it DOES make some sense seeing as pain called jiraiya 'jiraiya-sensei'.

and i'm very sure he's super strong...i mean LOOK at him!! he's screaming 'i'm powerful-er than everyone in the world!!'

hehe...i like his character...but i don't really like the whole 'changing body' thing he has going on...i look forward to seeing him in action, though =P

and hm... maybe konan and pein was jiraiya's apprentices... maybe that explain if pein have minato's body... maybe

Konan was definatly jiraya's apprentice, you see him in a picture with minato, a black haired girl, and a third genin. since pein switched bodies so often, he could be said third person.

I'm guessing that Pein isn't related to Naruto at all, though him being related to Jiraiya doesn't seem likely, since he calls Jiraiya 'sensei', which would mean Jiraiya was old enough to teach Pein when Pein was smaller.

Regardless, my bet's not on him being the Fourth or anything of that nature but more of a wayward student Jiraiya once had that turned bad. Wasn't there a picture in the manga of Jiraiya's team, or did he never have one that we know of? ;)

Can't wait to see who Pein is and for some reason, the past few chapters have been a bit ominous---foreshadowing Jiraiya's possible death and all that. The end is near for Jiraiya, I fear... :(

Chapter 371 was released and we learned this

Most probably, Pain isn't related to naruto at all, cause in chapter 371 we learn that he changes from body to body, meaning that maybe the body he once was, may have been a Naruto relative or something, since that body resembles Naruto a lot.
But in chapter 371 we see him in a new body which resembles Deidara a lot.
Also, there's a high possibility that Pain and Konan may be related to Jiraiya in some kind of way, this ways can be, family, or former subordinates, this is my theory btw, those who saw the chapter may know what I mean, so what do you guys think?

Still, they may be related in some way, but we don't know that yet T_T so annoying, anyway the next chapter will be out soon, let's see if we can learn a bit more about Pain

cause he had entered into a new body but that face had not yet been revealed
btw, if my theory is right, maybe that explain why he killed that who was his name again that called as salamander, easily maybe he used one of the salamander body he just killed to kill that salamander guy and used that salamander guy to kill all those people... LOL maybe some of you gonna be confused

nah i think he would not have any relation to naruto cause naruto got his father face. that rules out that pein is a child of the same mother as naruto but different father. LOL go and check out biology under genetics

I frankly don't see a direct connection with Naruto more like the fourth hokage, thats could make then brothers... If happens to be true

The rain village is completely under his command like a god-subordinate relation, is so annoying .................
