Sad ending like in the book or happy end?

Please...not sad ending!! I hope this anime will be happy ending....Although it will be very different from the original story but I personally think that happy ending is better.....

Normally I would say that they should keep to the original, but the fact that they have taken so much liberty with the story itself, I'm rooting for a happy ending.

The question i believe is not whether it's sad or happy. It's whether it makes a climax and that climax comes to an end. A happy ending for us maybe is not a happy ending for them. Some times people that faced a great experience cannot live a normal life.

So i think (getting back to the topice) that romeo and juliet had an appropriate ending. Both of them, staying together for eternity rather that staying together for some years!!In other words, a sad ending.

Oh man! I am a sucker for happy endings, so I would not mind seeing a happy ending. Wouldn't it be nice to have the couple united at last and overcome the tragedy? However, what would "Romeo and Juliet" be without the tragedy?
A sad ending suits the story more and is a more traditional approach. On the other hand, a happy ending could be refreshing...

Don't mess up a good thing. If it originally had a tragic ending then don't change it. That's what made it such a good story. Don't screw up a classic story by trying to make everyone happy!

Well, in my mind will say is like happy ending more than sad ending.i like to see peoples smile and dont like they being sad by any problems come out.if can i really hope that Romeo and Juliet can live happily in their life.

I personally prefers a tragic ending... but everything depends on how the anime is like... if the whole anime is a comedy and ends with a tragic ending, it doesn't sound right at all... But in this anime, it seems everything is serious~~~ even the graphics are great! And of course Shakespeare had his purpose for planning such an ending. Memorable, meaningful, etc... But indeed anime's abit different (presence of the witch...errr forgot her name) And the scene Romeo died was

Sad or happy end?
My opinion, that Happy end is very boring! The nobele knight save the beautiful princes and kill the big bad monsters ...
Experience : Hellsing : Evil vs. more evil ... Nobody slave by main character! It isn't lenity or leniency!
The main character mustn't give evidence of her morality. One purport carry! (kill) Evil vs. good .. it is boring, rinky-dink.
My eye! I wandering! I hate pink story. i would rather see sad history than happy, funny, very sunny history !
Does yield girl`s soul because she hasn't slaved her knight? It's yuck, don't stock!
Certainly it is which book or anime when I wait the happy end, but it is unwonted.
The one my favourite writer B. Yoshimoto. She have write some sad story.
Battle Royale has sad and happy end! This is very good book! I propose somebody, because it not either run story ...
Bloody, thiller but, it is not trash! It has composite story with grand characters!

I haven't seen the ending of the anime yet, but I think that the end will have a tragic twist which might even cancel out any happily ever afters that may occur.

That's the main gist of the story after all two people of opposing family's meet, fall in love and then die a very tragic death - everything else can (and has) been altered, after all that's why the whole story is so memorable.

Aah, that was a nice ending for this series. Not the best, but it could have been worse.

So, based off the Romeo x Juliet scans, there's six DVDs? If that's so, I'm going to keep my eyes open for them =)

If the ending is not a tragic, there is no point to call the anime Romeo and Juliet @_@
