Swords or Guns?

Nhaa Swords are better they are a more honorable way of fighting that requires full concentration in a duel, and with guns a duel is more of do you're best in the first shot or gg XD thats why swords are better

Hard to choose...but I prefer guns to swords. You don't have to get close to the enemy and it's much faster too.

Easily, sword especially Katana's are really cool to use in any battle. not barbaric, but very swift and has lot's of style. although some swords can be used in a barbaric manner.

guns on the other hand have limited or should i say doesn't require style at all. just aim and pull the trigger. of course, it you do it the DMC way, it looks cooler than swords.

I think anyone would feel powerful just holding any weapon in their hand, gun or sword. The only difference is that in this day and age handguns are the perferred weapon of choice in terms of practicality. In past eras and ages swords and daggers were in that spot, look at the samurai and European knights and both groups had guns during their times as well.

I've always love blades- they are beauty. sharp, and yeah they a have history
but i guess hungs are more powerfull--
and never fair- i hate guns- cuz people think they are powerfull for just "having a gun"- they take out their gun for any reason- anyone can be brave with a gun in their hands

As far as a fight goes, be it with a sword or gun, the better trained fighter usually has a greater chance of survival. There are martial arts styles that teach its members to deal with either situation. Both styles Krav Maga and Hapkido teach moves to deal with opponets using guns, knives, and yes also swords are among some really good examples. I could not help but to notice that some believe that blades are generally useless on the battlefield, but from what I've read of reports from battles in the 20th century the bayonet charge is still the most freighting thing to see in battle.

They are both nice genre of weapons however swords even though they are beautiful in form and function and nothing quite compares to a good sword fight, it would be foolish to say that swords can match a gun in a fight to the death. and there are several guns out there that would rank as pieces of art or just very aesthetically pleasing so i guess while sword are a great to look at guns have way better function to them

I thin thats pretty easy, i think swords are better because its looks cool when you use and need more skill to use but for guns, i don't mind it though

Depends on the situation. If someone suddenly put a gun and a sword in front of me I would take the gun. If the option was.. some very nice knives I might pick those. I really love knives ^_^ Then again projectile weapons are pretty cool too. I guess I want both!
... but yea normally I have a small knife on me <.<;;

I say any moron can either pull a trigger or swing a sword, it does not matter that one seems easier to do than the other. If the true ultimate weapon, the human body, is not trained to use either correctly, it does matter which seem the coolest or deadlier of the two. If you are ever disarmed all you have left is your arms and legs since both the gun and sword are simply an extention of your own body and skill to use them.

P.S.
I am talking more in the realm of reality and not fantsay.

I would definitely have to say swords. In all honesty guns have a much higher capability of killing in reality but swords can show the true skill a person has instead of just POW one shot and the person is dead. Don't get me wrong guns are pretty cool, but sword clashes always seemed to test the capabilities of a human more thatn a gun. (Berserk Anime -> Guts)

Well in terms of practicality... It would be obvious if you took a look at reality.. Guns would be the best...

However... If you're talking about beauty and stuff though... Swords and blades are much more pretty to look at Oo...

Sword is better cause it simbolizes the heart of a warrior...
a heart that gives honor to it's foe as a warrior should...
but the gun simbolizes a killer with no other intention than to survive...
not a feel of compassion to who it points to and not giving a chance of a fight 'till the death...

A well trained swordsman can beat a well trained gun man allways because it doesnt matter were the sword slices you their a high chance it will kill you while a gun can only make a hole the same size as the bullet(not talking about specialty bullets like cop killers) and as long as the person holding the sword keeps moving and does't stand still for more than 3 sec. theirs a good chance he wont be hit also it takes real skill to use a sword while any moron can point and pull a trigger whith a couple of days of practice
