Then explain to me, why should C.C get all bloodbathed when she got her code? What's with the scar too? And I don't get how come the nun ended up in a pool of blood, she could just simply died on the floor.

Also, Charles shot his head before we saw his pretty mark on his right hand.

Well, guess that's what we call an open ending. If you're happy with Lelouch's being dead, book him as dead. If you want him alive, take all the evidences people have written in the forums and book him as alive, being immortal and with C.C for eternity. A LelouchxC.C ending! (Pizza for eternity LOL)

I think it's all wishful thinking to believe that Charles may have given his code to Loulech whether on purpose, accident or any form. The fact remains that (using previous people as evidence) when a person becomes immortal they lose their ability to cast geass. The idea of a delayed code activation while plausible has no real evidence backing it. I do remember Charles trying to take CC's code for himself before Loulech stopped them which would support the idea that you can take someone else's code without the need for previous ties to that person. But even that doesn't support the idea of a delayed immortal code activation.

When CC was on the wagon cart is it so hard to believe that she may have just been talking to herself? Or talking to the deceased likes some people do when they think of the dead? It doesn't have to mean that she is talking to the cart driver. Like I said...wishful thinking.

HOWEVER! Remember, what i said before? He might ACCIDENTALLY gave it. They were in the World of C and that is the place where thoughts can be reality. Lelouch said," I desire tomorrow!" and does 'tomorrow' ever end? The 'gods' might take it that Lelouch would want to keep seeing tomorrow and thus having the Code (most said speculation in most Code Geass forums)

Plus! Have we ever see a Geass user get the code from other Code bearer? All Geass users who got codes from the immortals lose their Geass but gained immortality (most likely a curse for casting Geass to the limit) but what if a Geass user gained one from OTHER code bearer? Not the one who he/she binded contract with. There are theories that if lelouch really gained Charles's code in the World of C, it might not activated before he died once (C.C bled too much when she gained her Code. I'd want to know how she survived blood loss like that in Middle Age period where medical tech was below so-so, Charles shot his head before we knew he's immortal) Thus the code activated after lelouch's dead. AND immortals take their time to regenerate as shown by C.C in the first and second episode of Code Geass.

That's not true. Note that when one is given the Code, they are:
1. Immortal;
2. One who bestows geass to other people;
3. Is immune to geass; and lastly, the most important
4. CANNOT CAST GEASS

Since Lelouch had already cast geass on several people, including Schneizer and Nunally after being choked by Charles, it would nullify all rumours of him being immortal because they contradict each other.

Furthermore, why would Charles give his son, the one who erased him, immortality?

OVA happens when the anime has extremely large popularity, great DVD sales, or demands from the fans.

Well, I think I've almost overcome Lelouch's death...until i rewatch episode 25 (gotta do it for my wall...)

The writers left so many open threads, I do think an OVA would help clarify a lot of things. Then again, an OVA would sort of "ruin" the dramatic ending feel they wanted to achieve. Maybe there'll be one, maybe there won't. It's so hard to tell with this kind of anime...

Holy!! totally epic ending, i was like going to cry when i see Lelouch dead...but after reading all the posts, my mood flip back up, haha, i'm gonna believe that he is alive!!

anyway, even if Lelouch is realli dead, i think Sunrise still deserve the credit for wrapping up CG nicely, all mysteries are solved (except all Lelouch's death).

But just one last thing that realli piss me off is why isn't Ohgi dead!

alright, lastly, sunrise give me OVAs pls! OVA! OVA! OVA! ... and the chanting continues...

Bloody epic... is this anime of the year!? Seems really popular. Was streaming it last this morning, all the other anime released had 48 hits, 76 hits, 108 hits, 242 hits...

Code Geass had 6000, and that was approx 12 hours ago.

I guess one has to question whether Lelouch is really alice, and whether CC is still immortal.

The King of Geass hath fallen!
Even though there were some complaints about how Sunrise decided not to follow the original story. I still loved this anime!
There are very few animes that have a story as touching as that of Lelouch's.
I mean seriously, Lelouch sought after his father's throne... All that pain that he had to endure to get to it... And he did it all just for the world to put all their hatred against him when he died.
In doing so he redeemed Suzaku and Euphemia of their sins. Such a great sacrifice indeed.

And I read through your suspicions that Lelouch is still alive... In my heart, I hope that it is true.
But I doubt there is going to be a season 3. If there was one... Where would the story be centered around?

Untill then... Code Geass is definitely top of my favorite animes. And I would recommend it to all hardcore anime fans out there.

Well, I was kinda wondering "Why Zero? Can't he be straightforward saying 'Lelouch'?

Guess my classmate was right about Lelouch being dead. Oh sucks, it's pretty hard to find a great anime like Code Geass nowadays. Truly grateful to ever watched Code Geass...

By the way, anyone noticed how stylish the guy in the cart is? Farmers usually don't wear something that neat. Even if the guy's a merchant, I guess the hat looks more 'farmerish'

You know...as a cultural difference the Japanese like it when things are a little ambiguous. They don't need as same clear-cut closures as some more western cultures do. With that in mind I'm not sure if they will release a statement regarding the identity of the cart driver. The Japanese also have a belief of things coming full circle. Loulech started the series as a nobody, an outcasted prince living in exile, then he gained power commanding the Black Knights, Even more power as Emperor, and then returned to being a nobody (that's if you believe the cart driver to be Loulech).

Looking back a couple of things that bothered me in earlier episodes now make sense. Like in the last episode why did Loulech tell Schneizel to obey "Zero" and not himself? And when Suzaku, dressed as Zero, attacked Loulech Jeremiah fighting with Zero says something along the lines of "Go on Masked Knight" (it's hard to know for sure with different subbed interpretations). I get the feeling that Jeremiah knew it was Suzaku and therefore knew the truth behind the Zero Requiem. As a knight with sworn loyality to "Master" Loulech, it had to be pretty hard to let Sazaku kill Loulech...

Well, at least, even if Lelouch is really dead (no Charles's Code or the other theories like that) there's still C.C. She's immortal and she's about one of the few people who knows the true Lelouch. It seems like she's not interested in being dead anymore and if it's true, Lelouch will always live in her. But it'll be the best if Lelouch is the cart driver and travel together with her as immortals watching over the world's peace!

Okay, I'm still not happy enough (need confirmation!) and that's why Code Geass *Lelouch* fans should keep supporting Code Geass and send lots of demand mails to Sunrise for an OVA or movie.

WE NEED CONFIRMATION!

By the way, I think the ending song isn't really impressive... (not the one with the song 'Continued Story', that one's beautiful)
