Wow I'm surprised that there's even a thread about WC3, it's so old haha. Still currently playing ladder (rank 2 for 3v3 AT on West! w00t! Never been ranked so high before) until Starcraft 2 comes out.

Hey, i started warcraft tft a while ago and i need to find a website to find some strategies for undead players. up to now i play almost every time mass ghouls and then gargs xD...^^#

WC3 right now is mostly about the custom maps for sure, fun as heck to play and gives a lot of variety to the game too.

Warcraft 3
was epic, it was the best RTS game for me

and like the previous post said, custom maps like Dota and TD are whats making the game stronger up until now

Decent on tft ladder and above average for Dota. I only play clan tda which is a private dota gaming community. Quite fun :P

I still play WC3 TFT on a regular basis, just in the form of Dota (Free map, www.getdota.com) May as well be a totally different game though :D it's like unreal/CS in a wc3 setting.

Play through the campaigns every now and again as well, rpg-y feel to it in the hero levels make me feel warm&fuzzy inside.

WC3 TFT is getting boring for me. I played that for about 3 years, and I just lost interest in it. DoTA followed the same concept, pick a hero, kill the Scourage, etc. Footies was either sending out masses of creeps or making a godlike hero in 5 minutes to pawn everything. Tower defense was jsut boring as hell, because all you did was build towers. There's Vampirism, which was pretty fun, but then I got good enough. Well, there are otehrs like Sheep Tag, BattleShip, basic Ladder matches, etc. I heard some rumors about WC4, once Blizzard finishes off SC2. Anyone know anything?

I've never played an actual standard WC3 TFT game. i was introduced to DotA from a friend and (really hated him for this cuz he got me so addicted to it @_@) have a LAN game every single day in the computer lab on campus haha.

I've pretty much given up on the base game for WC3 TFT because I suck so bad at it but I really enjoy the custom maps for it like Footman Frenzy and DoTA.

I much rather play Starcraft than Warcraft i. I enjoy working with large armies and less micro management rather than a lot of micro management. It's just my playstyle. Also note that I enjoy swarming with Zerg.

I miss good old melee. Now a days its DOTA this DOTA that. I actually like the RTS part of the game. I could do without the heroes. The Game is too hero based. Nothing can compete with Starcraft when it comes to a Strategic game.

Yes, and i suspect that alot of people also have this game, though its not due to the actual campeign itself, but people buy it to play dota and other custome games.
