Fri, 27 Jun 2008 01:33:40 -0400 `fye-lover http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/61157/ Hi there~ I'm late too xDD

I looked at the 1600 x 1200 version, and I just love the swirly lighting effects you made at the back It's so beautiful, and it suits the rest of the wallpaper well. I think the lower part of the wallpaper, with all the buildings might look better if they are blurred just the teeniest bit, because the lines look a little jaggy. Also, the way she's standing as mentioned by the other members ^.^ Maybe a little rotation anti-clockwise?

Still, the composition of this wallpaper rocks~! And I noticed the background in your new wallpaper too~ Will comment on it if I have the time xDD

See you~ Fri, 30 May 2008 00:21:16 -0400 $nitemare1004 http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/61157/ Holly cow!! this wall is AWSOME!

love the 3-d background and miku^^

i like to think that everything goes together nicely

Wed, 28 May 2008 15:07:40 -0400 `reesha http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/61157/ Wow...this wall is great...XD
i really like the 3D effects of the bg, they are really nice and creative.
anyway, in my opinion, the character seems can't blend in with the bg.
maybe it is because of the colour or something.
like what the others said...i also noticed that the character is a lil "detach" as if it is not standing on the object.
maybe it is only me...i'm not good at judging 3D stuff...:D
keep up on it...XD Tue, 27 May 2008 23:45:22 -0400 ~LadyRiven http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/61157/ It looks fantastic! I almost wish more people would make walls from figure photos. I like to collect figures, but they can get pricey and take up a lot of room. A nice way to be able to look at them alternatively is to have really nice photos of them; putting them into a great wallpaper is even cooler!

I want a KAITO figure. D:

Well anyway, this wall is epic. :D Tue, 27 May 2008 15:42:47 -0400 `KorganoS http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/61157/ Nice concept, very cute and striking at the same time. Also great job on matching the colors. XD

This wall tends to look much darker at my office monitor... but looks just fine on my home monitor. I suggest upping the mid-point level (brightness) a bit to Miku to make her having less contrast and less saturation (notice the screaming color saturation on her armpit). Would be safer for lower-gamma monitors, and that way she would also look more natural.

The 3D effects are very good, and techy. But the only irk about it is that some of the lines look too much aliased it's distracting. But I have no idea how to fix it since I very rarely use 3D rendering softwares ^_^'

Oh, and to trick people's vision into not noticing the 'detached'ness, you can try adding 'light rays' originating from her back, very subtly and low opacity.. because her background elements emit very strong lights and IMO adding shadows beneath her would be a bit odd because of the disorientating angles pointed out by hamstersanonymous. Tue, 27 May 2008 13:46:03 -0400 `puppychow16 http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/61157/ I got here late so everything was said... She looks awesome though and my brother has a fascination with this character as well... Tue, 27 May 2008 13:19:47 -0400 `hamstersanonymous http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/61157/ miku ミク miku ミク miku ミク miku ミク miku ミク miku ミク miku ミク miku ミク negi ネギ negi ネギ negi ネギ negi ネギ negi ネギ negi ネギ negi ネギ negi ネギ

You were working from this? That's good work matching the color and style of the figure to the background. :3 Also, nifty background.

But I do agree with what θDias pointed out about the "detached"-ness around the legs, they don't appear to be standing on the block underneath her. The blocks are angled and don't provide the flat surface that her legs & feet imply. The right foot (her left) is particularly glaring -- if you take the surface under the left foot as "ground level", then the block underneath the right foot is angled much sharper and protudes, making it seem 1.5 heads above the ground level established earlier. To a viewer's eye/mind, this height difference cannot be reconciled, so the result is that she does not appear as if she is standing on the background at all. Tue, 27 May 2008 08:37:06 -0400 `White-Zero http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/61157/ The background is awesome as expected but the main scan/figurine/whatever doesn't seem to blend well with it. Or is it suppose to be that way? Mon, 26 May 2008 20:26:02 -0400 !Anime-Girl http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/61157/ Yep! your wallpaper its cool and 3D :D
i like with text and i'll download it now :3
yeah yeah keep going making 3D wallpapers omni! *cheers* :D Mon, 26 May 2008 14:19:06 -0400 `blue-green http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/61157/ Cute xD
i'll say this is sooo cool :D
maybe just a little blur on the back :3
that character reminds me of the newest disney +toei anime http://lazengann313.multiply.com/video/item/64/DATS_Fireball_04_-_St._Elmos_Fire Mon, 26 May 2008 14:10:54 -0400 θDias http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/61157/ Cute. But I feel that there's some problem with the blending between the character and the background. It also feels quite "detached". Around the feet, it doesn't give the illusion that she's standing on the objects at all.

The blocky objects at the back seems to look as if it was enlarged. It's kinda blurry and has anti-aliasing problems around which gave me that impression. As for the surface at the below, I assume it was done via threshold level adjustments. I do use it sometimes for creating grunge backgrounds and subtle organic patterns but rarely use it to create a solid objectsince they tend to give the jaggies. If I do, I'll always have to follow up with the pen tool to smooth out the jaggies. It contrasts quite starkly against the smooth 3D'ish design at the further back ( Which is quite cool though. I see it quite often among wallpapers utilizing 3D render progs.) Mon, 26 May 2008 10:35:43 -0400 $motogp http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/61157/ Dang!.That wallpaper is awesome..The background is totally cool and made very artistic..The character blends in pretty well with the background. The only complain i have is that the 3D effect at the sides of her hands (the circle things) dont look very smooth..So you can just say that the smoothness is the problem.Other than that i dont find a problem so i would have faved it.
FAVE+

Keep your good work going Omni.Hoping to see more 3D wallies from u..How about a GITS one..Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee.. Mon, 26 May 2008 02:29:53 -0400 `Brad-M13 http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/61157/ This wall is total goodness. There are jagged lines but that doesn't bother me one bit because this wall is overall epic! I also wouldnt hesitate in faving this... if i could. XD
Nice work man! Sun, 25 May 2008 20:14:03 -0400 ~iroveashe http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/61157/ I wanted to make a signature with a figure once, but it ended up being crap and I thought that it would be a good idea for a wall. What I never guessed was that it could look so damn good.
+fav

...wait, where's the Fav button?
Crap.
We need a category for this >_> Sun, 25 May 2008 13:45:06 -0400 `Bernouli http://www.animepaper.net/forums/rss/61157/ This, sir.. it really cool. >_< The background rox my sox! I don't know what else to say except that I'd fav it if you'd have been able to put it in the gallery. >xD

*saves* Sun, 25 May 2008 13:05:18 -0400
