New anime of ullmetal Alchemist

Two reasons I'll watch this: while I love the English dub of FMA to death, I have been interested in hearing the Japanese performances. This will give me an opportunity to do so. Also, while I'm not a big fan of the manga, maybe BONES can make it work for me in animated form. After all, there will no doubt still be some changes, right?

I might abandon the original FMA anime altogether. The more I've read the manga, the more I've come to sort of disliked the different direction the original anime took. >.>

And yes, in case it hasn't stuck in your minds yet, this new series is a second SERIES that will follow the manga. Which for me is a good thing, as I've only started reading the manga recently. XD;

I think that it is awsome that they have a new Fullmetal Alchemist anime. I am not saying that the first one was bad but it felt somewhat unfinished. Even if it is an alternet this is still a good anime.

Haven't had a chance to read/watch this yet, but i really want to.
LOVED the first season/series, and own 2 copies of the movie XD (Japanese and the special edition of the English version)

I'm glad they're doing a complete revamp, I've wanted to see a lot of the manga-exclusive scenes animated. I wish I was patient enough to wait for the dub, I liked it a lot better than the original version the first time around. XD

I started watching it, but I couldn't because it was being downloaded by so many other people. I believe it's like what they did with the Hellsing series; they're redoing the anime right from the start, this one, from what I could see, and from the trailers I've viewed, does have much cleaner, refined and intricate animation, it sort of has like a HD look to it, but I know that's not the case.

The only other thing it could be is a conclusion of the old series, basically it would fill in the "holes" but this is very unlikely, it's a new series, I'll buy it when it comes out on DVD or Blu- Ray.

Hehe. Good point. When I first saw ads of the FMA Brotherhood, i thought it would be a continuation of the first season. I was kinda disappointed after I watched the 1st episode of it. XD

It kinda ruins the FMA series. if they say that this a second season.. then how come Alphonse is still in a suit of armour?
by means of second season.. Ed should be in the other side of the 'gate' along w/ Hoenhiem[?]

Well it's ok if you havent watch or finished the 1st season coz the FMA Bortherhood(2nd season) is somewhat a remake and an improvement of the 1st season. From the 3 episodes that they have aired, some old parts were removed and mostly are new. Rose character design changed. "Did she use a whitening cream?" LOLS.

Haha, I never actually finished the first series either. :) I plan on it, one day, when I have time. I don't really have an interest in the second series yet, and from what I saw, the animation looks really weird. I don't really care much about animation, but I guess I thought it would look better, being Fullmetal Alchemist and all.

Technically, the new FMA show is a second series. XD And yes, the second series is expected to follow the manga a lot more than the first series!

I saw the first episode the other day, and it's good so far! Though it had nothing to do with the original storyline manga. XD But still good!

And from what my friend's told me, all the characters except for Ed and Al have different seiyuus. ;_____;

And I love the opening they're using right now! "Again" by YUI.

The first season & the movie were both awsome & had a pretty good ending. But still if they are making a new season than I'll hope it'll follow the manga storyline.

I did not like the ending of the anime, so I am happy to see that they are using the manga storyline this time.
