It is my favorite anime, I have watched almost every show, except the seed/d, turn A and 00.

I would have to say Victory or Zeta are the best.

Yah gundam series are awesome, i have to say GS, GSD, and GSDSE were pretty good.

But there were so many different versions, of GS AND GSD there were the astray versions?

The older series are nice to watch. I've watched a bit of the old series and I must say that they are rather nice and enjoyable as well.

Everyone enjoys giant robots fighting each other in war torn environments.

I need to watch some of the old gundam, I only watched Seed, and I want watch 00. But people say old gundam are better.

The last gundam series could be the coolest now. But you should place yourself inthe time that old series will make.
You will find out that Gundam 0079 in terms of history and characters complexity is almost unique. And also, you will find out that the series was practicly the firs series that envolving robots, don´t use a scream to activate it as you can see in Mazinger Z.
In a tima when the robots are a copy of Mazinger and the main story was only see the giant robot destroy the evil robots GUNDAM iniciate a new era in ANIME.

I love Gundam like no other when it comes to giant robots and a war torn world. The only season I have a major problem with is SD Gundam. I was scared for life. I would not make my most hated enemy watch it. But on the other end of the line I say watch Gundam Wing, Gundam SEED/Destiny, and Gundam 00. Their the coolest one out there.

I also love mostly Gundam series. I say mostly cause I never see Turn A and I don´t like Mobile Fighter G Gundam (it reminds me the old robot series like Mazinger which don´t have a plot to sustent the animation).
I think, that what we call First Gundam is the prototype por most anime series that we see today. It changes the way that Japanese creators see the anime and their stories, making them more complex and structured.

I think Gundam rocks!
