the book describes GN Particles as a hypothetical particle and doesn't fully answer what it is. Its trying to give us a perspective instead of telling us exactly what it is, allowing the particles to remain mysterious and out of reach by today's technology.

Firstly GN Particles have these characteristics:

1. Is a kind of particle.
2. Gives off light.
3. Jams radio and other signals.
4. Has force.
5. Can be compressed.
6. When compressed, forms a barrier.
7. Can be produced by GN Drives.
8. When emitted, produces thrust, or effect of similar nature.

One thing I've understood and seems that everyone has been wrong is the colour of GN Particles. GN Particles can be in any colour of the visible spectrum, their colour is decided by the treatment and tuning done to it. It is not because True particles are 'pure' or Tau particles did not have treatment from a TD Blanket or something.

Particles of the same type reflects light at different wavelengths in various forms and states, for example water molecules in liquid form reflect blue light, but as gaseous steam, actually reflects more red. This also applies to GN Particles, but whether the light is giving off by the particle or is a reflection of light, the book wonders about that itself, for GN Particles are described by Billy as 'a photon that has collapsed'. Photons are particles of light itself, if GN Particles are not photons, do they give off photons or are just reflecting photons?

Anyway, CB's GN Particles are green because CB uses GN Particles in extremely high compression rates, the compressed GN Particles are used for all of the Gundams' functions and weapons. Using highly compressed particles means a high output, CB can afford that since their true drives produce GN Particles perpetually.

The Throne's Tau Drives produce red particles because the particles are tuned to the optimum wavelength for beam weaponary, which also results in its poisonous nature. I think they probably have to tune to red particles to optimise beam potency because their Tau drives have a limited running time, so they need to maximise the effects for the beam weaponary.

And Alexandro just loves gold, having 7 drives for high compression rates and powerful beam attacks, he tuned his particles to a wavelength that gives off gold effects.

Probably no one except CB uses GN Particles in green configuration because they do not have that much particle output to maintain the compression for green. The orange particles of various MS in S2 could be tuned for some other effects.

so the GNZ drives that are suppose to be almost equal to the original drive sacrifice operational time to refine the particles to somewhat reach the original drive power and efficiency but still they cant reach to the same optimal output as the original can nor refine the particles.

What it says is already theorized by people but not fully explained. It says the True Drives work on a certain unknown Topological defect, could be monopoles, annihilation of particles, phase transition, vacuum energy etc. Either of these effects could provide a GN Drive with enough power to be practically perpetual. And this coupled with the relation to Jupiter, whether its the gravity or gravitational stress and compression, can allow GN Drives to produce GN Particles. The book suggests to us various ideas, but doesn't tells us what it really is, probably to let GN Drives remain mysterious and beyond modern science, which is probably also the creators' intention.

But the book does explain how the GN Particles work in various ways.

GN Particles have force and can be compressed. When you compress something that has force, it builds up pressure. This pressure is used to power the mechanical movements of the Gundams, the pressure is also emitted as beams or thrust. The same pressure can be gathered to form a barrier, the GN Field. By concentrating the pressure, the GN Field on a blade, Exia's GN Sword for example, it becomes a powerful cutting edge.

GN Beam Sabers are a little different, somehow the pressure of the GN Particles in beam form is held in place by a Positron field. When using the Beam Saber to slice, the Positron field breaks on contact and unleashes the pressure of the GN Particle beam to slice things apart.

You can somehow see that the GN Particles has 3 different 'states'. As GN Fields, its like a solid surface, as beam, its like a liquid and for thrust, its like gas.

We know that the GN Particles somehow reduce weight, the book also says that the True Drives can't be shut down, they're always running so the Gundams are always lighter than their real weight. Even if you eject the drive, the drive itself is running, presented by its green glow.

The Gundams don't really fly, they float, and they have weird center of gravity because of that weight reducing effect. The Gundams can shift their center of gravity very easily by moving their limbs. This is extremely beneficial for Exia(or 00) as this allows it to harness the shifting in weight to apply more force in swinging its blades. The Gundams are very agile and can do swift movements because of the weightlessness and ease to shift their center of gravity.

Generally the Gundams are physically stronger and have more powerful beam weapons compared to the Tau Drive MS because of their extensive use in condensors to store particles and compression of particles. You can see the physical strength of the Gundams in cases like 00 crushing Susanowo's blade in their last duel. Tau drives having their limited running time cannot store and compress as many particles as the Gundams and thus are weaker in general.

I remember Mr. Bushido dose Trans-AM in the last few episodes.
However, the most hell part is at episodes 23, when full of so-called GAGA covered the whole space and every one of them TRANS-AMed. OMG, I just wanna crap my conputer at that moment. you know, that scene just sucks!

second The Tau drive runs on a finite time that's one big difference if you ask me the more the MS releases the GN particles doesn't mean it has more it just means it doesn't have were to put them is like the first time we see the 0 gundam and at the end of the season 2 we see the difference in 0 gundam now that it has GN condensers.

All Tau drive units have GN Condensers as well (mostly in chest sections, like 3rd Gen Gundams and in joint sections). So they store the particles pretty effectively and are able to utilize them when needed, like Gadessa, which has giant condensers in its shoulders.
The 0 Gundam has GN Condensers as well, it's clearly visible in its chest. It's spouting particles only because the particle control mechanism is inefficient. All following Gundams have them as well as well as improved particle control systems.

The concept doesn't apply since GN Tau and true drives are essentially different. Since TD Plunket wasn't available for Tau drives, Ribbons had to engineer the drive without it. That resulted in increased particle release rate and red GN particles as well as a significant decrease in operation time.

oh i forgot of coarse the aheads wen purged of the Armour looks like a gundam Because its a Gundam even the GNX were gundams just whit different Armour plus who did the GNX made the gundam thrones.

Speaking of Trans-am, everyone in the end have Trans-Am since Katagiri found the truth or rather formula to executing Trans-Am. So, it isn't that surprising for Graham to use a Trans-Am.

Putting aside the point of how he is able to use trans-am, I think that the idea of having him able to use it and fight against setsuna with it was great. It was a great moment to the viewers of the scene when the two trans-am units clashed against each other.

why are you saying that trans graham trans am particle generation should be greater than the real trans am? that totally impossible as the GN drive Tau is not able to generate particles like the real GN drive can so the MS would be out of particles in no time if that were to be true.

second the Trans-Am info wasn't in the Gundam but in the black boxes in the GN-drive and they didn't get anything about it wen they got kyrios.

Firstly, it has been sated in the anime that Tau drives produce more particles (perhaps compare the amount of particles released by a True GN Drive equipped unit to that of a GN Tau Drive unit, like AHEAD or GN-XII). Currently it is speculated that the only thing differentiating a true drive and a Tau drive is TD Plunket, which acts as kind of a filter, "filtering" out harmful Tau particles and thus decreasing the particle output of the drive. But that's just a speculation.

Secondly, the operational time of a TRANS-AM equipped Tau Drive unit is indeed reduced greatly, as Graham kindly demonstrated when he first activated TRANS-AM.

Thirdly, Katagriri didn't utilize the same system used on Gundam, that is impossible due to the nature of Tau dives. He noted he had based it on the professor's notes and he simply proved it (hence why I speculated Kyrios had something to do with it). And I do believe they did indeed get inspiration from Kyrios, since if you remove AHEAD's armor, it should look exactly like a Gundam, main feature being the large GN condenser in its chest.

I believe this would clarify my point.

Well, I think that the Masurao must have a shorter trans-am time limit. Maybe the system is made so that trans am turns of before all his particles are depleted. That's probably why he ran after the first fight with trans-am, because he was running on reserve particles.
