They've already said that there will be a season 3. But no specific date was given yet, right? I just hope it comes out soon 'cause I've already finished the first two seasons and i still want to watch more. But for now all we can do is wait...

Does anyone have a source for this information? Is there any actual evidence that seanson 3 will be made? Also, its been awhile, even if they did, it'd probally be sometime in 2010 =="

Yep, 3rd season coming after an OVA series which airs this autumn so will take a while I guess.

The third season won't be airing this fall, but the OVA series has to come first, so it will be next spring at the earliest and more likely next fall.

There was a pretty big gap between the first and the second season so I wouldn't be surprised that if there is a third season that it'll take a while to get to it.

Third season? Oh I just hope for the good of the people that they finally scr*w Yoshida off Yuuji and give Shana a decent development, I mean it's so damn totally clear the pairing will be Yuuji x Shana but holy crap it's been 2 seasons already. Look at how fast Zero no Tsukaima (similar cast even)'s main characters developments took place, hell even 12 episodes was enough to establish Saito loves Louise. Please Yoshida, we have no more need of your screentime-whoring thing, Shana lacks romantic screentime (not screentime in terms of action) to and from Yuuji

I loved watching the first two seasons. It's one of my favorites. I was hoping that they'd have a third season after how they left season two. I can't wait to what the upcoming season. I'm so excited!

Omg yah ... they are going to make the 3rd season soon i thought, but we have to wait T_T and like someone says before, the story is pretty open so, they have to come with another season, and more if you see that Shakugan no Shana is a popular anime series.. but i dont know.. cause Full Metal Panic, was good and popular but they didnt go for the 3rd season T_T i'm still waiting for it
