I guess it´s a very good idea launching these remakes. There are some pokemon that only can be found there. Really, finding someone with those versions, or to buy them, seems pretty difficult for me, hehehe.

your joking right...? There are lots of ways to get the old pokemons in the new versions...

Hhmm a remake of the old games...there weren't any pokemons I really enjoyed in Silver or Gold well except for Teddiursa. They might make a Crystal version remake so I think ill keep an eye out for any news, till then I don't think ill be getting either of the remake versions. I hope people aren't just getting it because of the upgraded graphics...From what I saw on the previews seems like it's the same storylines as the one in the old versions except for new team rocket members that look like team galactic.

I can't wait to get this for my son so he can see what he has been missing. He loves pokemon so much he would use his birthday wish to wish pokemon where real.

The first Pokemon game I played was Crystal, so... will there be a crystal? Silver and Gold let you get either Raikou or Entei and Crystal let you get Suicune. Does that mean all three are now available? I'm so happy I can play Pokemon in full color now! The limited color scheme always bothered me.

Is anyone bothered by how Pokemon seems to be ripping off old games like this? Sounds like they're desperate for any kind of money... (Still, who's surprised? The new pokemon look idiotic.)

They're going to be released the same day they were released 10 years ago (Japan only), we'll have to wait for them this fall =D i love remakes, and loved the GS saga. This is going to be such an awesome pokemon game.

The 2nd pokemon generation is my favorite generation and Pokemon Silver is my favorite pokemon version. I been looking forward to this ever since GameFreak remake fire and green. After looking at some of the previews GameFreak added a lot of nice features:
1. Your pokemon follows you around
2. Unique pokemon (Notch eared pichu)
3. New events and animations

I'm very excited hope it comes out in North America ASAP!

I was so, so excited when I heard this was getting a remake. Gold was always my favorite pokemon game, as it had the right balance of things to do and my favorite pokemon in it. I will definitely be getting the remake (and now I won't have to worry about internal batteries running out *shakes fist at old and useless copy of Gold*).

It's hard to believe but I can relive my Gold version experience in better graphics soon thanks to the remakes...I just need to get the Japanese version, just like I did with the original.

I personally would like to get the Soul Silver version, because I never had played silver version. The problem is, I don't have DS :P

I personally can't wait for these two games to come out. Gold and silver were always my two favorite versions, followed now by Diamond, Pearl and Platinum. Although I don't really care for the pokemon walker thing.

Well i know this is a bit late but game freak announced that the kanto section will definitely be included in the game. Personally one of the things i liked about gold and silver was the fact that they were actual sequels with characters from the previous games making a comeback like Blue becoming viridian gym leader and the player fighting Red in Mt. Silver. So this little inclusion has won me over. Definetly getting it

Oh my, I'd even buy one of the new games.
Played silver and loved it, the then following games somehow disappointed me.

The new silver/gold version might make me feel nostalgic. :D

Well, I saw this coming from a mile away, being a fan of pokemon I guess I'll pick this one up. I'm not to crazy about the "first slot pokemon following you around thing", dunno it just doesn't really seem like a useful game mechanic.
