Manga or Anime?

It all depends on the interaction between the anime and the manga itself. There are 3 type of interactions:
1. Anime and Manga is exactly the same, often follow scene by scene.
2. Anime and Manga is portraying different aspects or perspective of the same story (ex. Evangelion)
3. Anime and Manga each has totally different story, only share backgound and setting.

In Case no 1 you just have to check out one of them, preferably the manga because oftentimes the anime doesn't finish the story.

In Case no 2 and 3 you need to check out both of them.

If the anime is based on the manga, then the manga is usually better. If the manga is adapted from the anime, then the anime is usually better.

So in most cases I prefer the manga. It's also usually cheaper to get the manga, and you can read it anywhere, anytime.

Can I say both? cause to me.....................I don't matter what I watch or read
they're still cool to read and watch
for enjoyment of my benifit.

In both cases, I end up being broke so...I like anime but there are some manga that cannot be put into anime. But I think I prefer anime better.

Woot you know this one is a tough one i really adore both of them i cant choose sigh* >_< if i had to i would choose anime because its in colour the characters i like thme when they move and its easier to sit there and watch instead of flipping the pages.lolz oh yeah commercials XDD. but still id choose anime its more humerous cause you dont have to read the words you can just listen..^^ BUT STILL I LOVE BOTH

Is depends..if it is about an action story, like Bleach and Naruto, anime is better.
but i prefer manga, cause its the ''original'' one....complete...
fillers sucks sometimes...

Most preferrably manga, because whenever they create fillers, they're extremely boring and don't go on with the story line.

The manga however continues with the story and keeps going until the creator makes it stop.

But if the Anime came first, I'd prefer that.

It just depends on which started first and which is the original.

I adore manga since it's portable, but I do point to two series which I thought were better than the manga - Escaflowne, and Wolf's Rain. The Escaflowne manga were written AFTER the series, as was Wolf's Rain I believe.

So I guess in most cases, whatever comes first tends to be better. XD;

I like manga because it's cheaper, and more easily portable than anime. (Unless you have a portable DVD player, which I don't...)

Plus, some anime don't include all of the things the manga has. And sometimes the art is different from the orignal artist's style. And also, some are just promotions for the manga (ie Fruits Basket, Kare Kano)

So yeah, definately manga. :3

I think it depends on what the anime is.. but I usually watch the anime(if I can find it to watch) rather than reading the manga. I simply like it more because it seems more real. With the colors, movement, and voices. However, there are times when I would prefer the manga, simply because it has more details or make more sense than the anime would.

Manga!!...manga is alot better...as somebody above mentioned...the story line is alot more complete.
what more since most animes are based of manga you dont have to sifth throught filler eppisodes of manga. epecialy when the anime starts to overtake the story in the manga. in the case of naruto i found that the manga was alot better becuase it was more serious and everything was explained alot better. also i read 200 ish chapeters of one piece and then sadly watched the crapy 4KIDS version of it on TV....sigh when will america learn dubbing and sensoring anime is a crime.... well nehu the point is manga is better than anime becuase of the depth of story...

I prefer manga solely on the fact that i don't have much access to anime than manga. Also another reason why i like manga better BECAUSE it usually is the original storyline.... and i like originals than adapted and because that anime usually changes or take out bits which screws the whole thing up e.g the negima anime... although i haven't seen it, every person has been saying it is the worst.
of course ~silgret has a point: if the story is about action, then anime is better because they show you how they portay the moves and stuff...
of course you cant really comare the two modes... one is visual, the other is written plus art...

What a difficult thing to choose, well, sometimes the manga has more complete stories than the anime but, if you read and watch naruto, the anime has extra episodes while the manga keeps on going with the story.

Each has a postitive and minus

but for some fighting stuff, like naruto and bleach, i think it'd be better to watch the anime, it'll be easier to see what kind of moves the charaters are using...

Well...i think that anime is better,its true that in manga the story is "bigger" and sometimes
the art is better,but i like to see the action ^^
and i like to hear the characters voice~ and the songs.
and for me its better to understand things in the anime cuz they go on the more easy way (at least for me)
but when it come to open endings and diffrent characters and storys i would go to the manga side.
